Huawei Enjoy 60

Huawei Enjoy 60 Smartphone Review – The Huawei Enjoy 60 was launched in March 2023 and lies in the mid-range segment. In terms of design, the device looks fabulous and feels quite lightweight to hold for a long time. Also, the device can be picked in multiple shade variations alongside support for high internal storage. Yes, the device underwhelms a bit in some areas but that doesn’t mean the smartphone is not powerful. Not to forget, the device comes with fast charging support and a friendly budget also.

The Huawei Enjoy 60 is the lite version of its sibling called the Enjoy 60X smartphone. The device carries a massive battery which is the key attraction of this phone. So to find out whether this smartphone is worth buying, let’s head toward the Huawei Enjoy 60 review.

Huawei Enjoy 60 Smartphone Review

Highlights

  1. The Huawei Enjoy 60 features a 6.75 inches TFT LCD display panel.
  2. The chipset featured in this smartphone is not revealed yet, but it is likely to be an octa-core SoC.
  3. The phone comes with HarmonyOS 3.0 and is an Android competitor.
  4. The main rear camera sensor is a 48MP lens, and the front carries an 8MP selfie camera.
  5. The smartphone has a Li-Po 6000 mAh huge battery with support for 22.5W fast charging.

Design and Display

The Huawei Enjoy 60 smartphone is a beautiful phone, and there’s no doubt about it. Not everyone has the budget to buy flagship devices, but that doesn’t mean you have to compromise with the design. The device comes with beautiful and simple looks.

Most smartphones in this price range feature a very generic and bulky design, but that’s not the case with the Huawei Enjoy 60. The phone will get you a solid grip and won’t slip out of your hands easily.

The phone comes in three colors: Black, Blue, and Gold. The Gold color looks fantastic. On the screen, you will receive a 6.75 inches TFT LCD display panel with default refresh rate support. The smartphone features decent color accuracy, and the contents look great on the display.

Anyways, there is only HD+ resolution support on the screen which feels quite disappointing in this price segment. Alongside this, you will also lack better nits brightness on the device. Apart from this, the device weighs 199 grams and comes with a 9mm thick body.

Memory and Internal

As much as we praised the design and display of the phone, we wish we could say for the internals as well. As of now, Huawei hasn’t provided any details about the processor or the memory of the smartphone. But the chipset is likely to be an octa-core SoC, but we don’t have any more information than that.

The same goes for the memory of the smartphone. The capacity of the RAM is unknown at this moment. If it is an octa-core processor, it’s not going to be too bad. Sure, it may not play all the latest games smoothly, but again this smartphone was not designed to be a gaming smartphone.

So, everyday apps should run just fine. As for storage, the phone is available in both 128GB and 256GB variants. There is support for a dedicated MicroSDXC card, but there’s no 5G support in this smartphone, as the chipset doesn’t have a 5G modem.

Camera

The Huawei Enjoy 60 smartphone has a dual rear camera system with a 48MP main sensor and a secondary camera with a 2MP depth sensor. The main rear camera takes good pictures during the day with a wide dynamic range, decent colors, and fine details. Apart from this, night shots are just manageable and there is nothing to talk more about that.

The 8MP front camera can take some good selfies that look natural with well-saturated colors. However, the same can’t be said during the night. Pictures taken during the night contain a lot of noise and are not suitable for posting on social media platforms.

That’s true for both the rear and the front-facing cameras. For video recording, the phone manages to shoot up to 1080p resolution video at 30fps from both the rear and the front-facing camera. Apart from this, there is no gyro-EIS support.

Battery and Others

The Huawei Enjoy 60 smartphone has a huge Li-Po 6000 mAh battery that can easily last 2 – 3 days even with moderate usage, which is very impressive, especially when compared to other smartphones in the same price range. The large battery capacity combined with a lower-power CPU makes up for an incredible battery backup.

The smartphone supports 22.5W fast wired charging, and can fully refuel the battery in around 90 minutes. This may not sound very fast considering the huge size of the battery, but it’s fast enough. The phone has no overheating issues during normal usage. However, during gaming, the phone can get a little warm.

Apart from that, the phone also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The smartphone is on sale right now and is available for just $185 (Rs. 15,000 in India approx).

Conclusion

The Huawei Enjoy 60 is not a smartphone for gamers. It’s also not a smartphone for enthusiasts who are expecting a camera-centric device. In terms of looks, the device is just fine for general use. However, the user experience would have been a lot better if a custom UI had been offered.

Furthermore, the device also feels underwhelming in terms of camera, performance as well as in display section. The 720p display can’t be justified at this price segment, also the sensors offered are quite outdated and so the smartphone doesn’t seem to be a good option until you talk about battery and fast-charging support.

Though the device has support for high internal storage and a microSD card slot still, there are better options available in the market such as the Oppo A1x which comes with 5G support in the same price range. However, the final decision is up to you and your requirements as this budget is a budget phone that has nothing extraordinary.
