Infinix GT 10 Pro Pros and Cons

Infinix GT 10 Pro Smartphone Review – The new Infinix GT 10 Pro has made waves since it first launched and it continues to make huge sales. That’s thanks to the inclusion of a higher-end and gaming-grade chipset inside a smartphone that costs $230 to $280. This is a price point that is very competitive thanks to the sudden onset of new Chinese smartphones that cost low. On top of that, the smartphone industry is quite at the mid-range sector has saturated and sales figures have been quite low.

To change that, we needed a new player in the market that is ready to do something new and bold and that’s exactly what Infinix brought to the market. Released on August 2023, Infinix brought a powerhouse to the upper mid-range market in the form of Infinix GT 10 Pro. Other smartphone makers also made similar claims in the past and failed to live up to them, so we are going to put the Infinix GT 10 Pro to our detailed review and see if it can indeed deliver. Let’s get started.

  5. The smartphone features a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging along with support for reverse wired charging.

Design and Display

The Infinix GT 10 Pro brought a Nothing Phone-esque design up to $250 price bracket. Well, it’s not a 1:1 design replica, but it certainly has those design similarities. It has the same transparent-back panel vibe and it also has the LED, although in a much smaller number. The whole Orange and Grey accents on top of the Black paint job look truly majestic. This color variant is called Cyber Black. It is also available in a Silver color called Majestic Silver. There are LEDs in the camera module that will light up during gaming, when notifications arrive, or when you put the smartphone on charge.

The entire body is made of plastic but it is rigid and there’s no creaking under pressure. Overall, it’s a very durable smartphone that also features a cool design. On the front, the Infinix GT 10 Pro features a flat 6.67-inch AMOLED display panel with Full HD+ resolution. The display panel can also display up to 1 Billion colors and has support for up to 120Hz refresh rate. It can also get as bright as 900 nits under direct sunlight, so outdoor viewing is not going to be an issue on the smartphone.

Memory and Internal

The Infinix GT 10 Pro has been outfitted with the 6nm Mediatek Dimensity 8050 5G SoC, which is a very capable SoC as the CPU can clock as high as 1×3.0 GHz. This is an extremely good and rare sight for a smartphone launching in the budget range. Most smartphones in this price range have 2.2 GHz or 2.4 GHz at best. This makes it incredibly easy to run all your favorite apps on this smartphone as the app opening speed will be incredibly fast. So, you can switch between multiple apps, and still, the transition between them will be a lot smoother, all thanks to this incredible SoC.

This SoC is a dream for true multi-taskers. The chipset also has support for 5G connectivity and the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU is also equally powerful in the chipset. You can easily run modern games like Genshin Impact, CODm, and PUBG with smoother framerates and higher graphics fidelity. For memory and storage, the Infinix GT 10 Pro smartphone is available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of faster UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone comes with Android 13 with XOS 13, which provides a lot of customization options for the users.

Camera

The Infinix GT 10 Pro has a 108MP triple rear camera system. The photos from the primary 108MP sensor tend to have great detail levels, splendid colors, and a high dynamic range. Even the details in the shadows and the highlights are retained properly. So, you can zoom in a little and still, there won’t be any apparent blurriness. The sensor is also properly optimized to capture more light than ever before, so photos taken during the night will have more details compared to other smartphones. Even the portrait mode is great on this smartphone.

The Infinix GT 10 Pro manages to capture the portraits perfectly and they look so good that it may give other smartphones a run for their money. The selfie camera in the front consists of a 32MP sensor, which can take some great selfies with perfect skin tones. For video recording, the Infinix GT 10 Pro smartphone can shoot up to 4K@30FPS from the main rear camera, but the selfie camera can only shoot at a maximum of 1080p@30FPS.

Battery and Others

Infinix has included a high-capacity 5000 mAh battery for the Infinix GT 10 Pro that can easily last about 1 – 2 days of light to moderate usage. But even if you are a heavy user or take a lot of pictures or videos, then the smartphone should still last a full day. However, if you play a lot of games, then the smartphone will not last a full day.

But you will be glad to know that the Infinix GT 10 Pro smartphone supports 45W wired charging. Apart from that, the Infinix GT 10 Pro also has an under-display fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, stereo speakers, GPS, and a USB Type C port for charging. The price of the smartphone starts at $240 (Rs 19,990 in India) approx.

If you are someone who prioritizes design, display, performance, and gaming, then the Infinix GT 10 Pro is the best smartphone money can buy in 2024. It has a CPU that can clock at a decent speed and that too for a price of just about $240. Now, that’s wild and unlike other smartphone makers, Infinix didn’t compromise with display, camera, or battery. On the contrary, Infinix provided a decent display, camera, and a fantastic high-capacity battery.

On top of that, it features a fantastic Cyber Black design that people around you will surely praise. The Infinix GT 10 Pro is a complete package and unlike other smartphone makers who choose not to provide any charger, Infinix bundles a fast charger in the box. So, you don’t have to spend a single penny elsewhere. But if Infinix GT 10 Pro is yet to be released in your country and you want a smartphone now, then you can take a look at the Tecno Camon 20 Pro, which features similar specs at a similar price point.
