Vivo V20 and V20 Pro Pros and Cons

Vivo V20 and V20 Pro Review, Pros and Cons – Vivo have been preparing to reveal the successor to its popular V19 series called Vivo V20 and V20 Pro. In fact, two phones were launched together – Vivo V20 and V20 Pro. The Vivo V series has always fascinated its fans with its excellent cameras and first-rate design. Likewise, the Vivo V20 is no exception when it comes to its premium design and feeling of comfort alongside its decent configurations.

Both Vivo V20 and V20 Pro are quite similar in specifications, except for camera and processor because V20 Pro supports 5g connectivity. Let’s see a detailed review of the new Vivo V20 and V20 Pro smartphone.

Vivo V20 and V20 Pro Review

Highlights

  1. Vivo V series hosts an excellent quality AMOLED display for vivid colors and user-friendly operation.
  2. Modern Funtouch UI 11 based on Android 10 OS with several exciting features.
  3. When it comes to incredible photography, a 64 MP triple camera kicks in the scenario.
  4. A monstrous 4000 mAh battery is integrated with a super-fast 33W charger.
  5. Vivo V20 includes a highly efficient and optimized Snapdragon 720G processor and the V20 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 765G chipset.

Design and Display

At the front, we have a beautiful screen with minimal settings, providing an exceptional ratio between the screen and the body. The dual punch hole camera makes the front panel stand out from the crowd. On the other hand, an impressive rear panel with a two-color gradient finish leaves no stone unturned in terms of being a major draw point.

Let’s turn our attention to the section of the screen, you get a 6.44 inches Full HD+ AMOLED screen panel with bright colors and well-adjusted quality. Vivo took a step forward on the screen, providing HDR10 support for those who love to consume content. At the moment, the screen saver has not been revealed by the company.

Memory and Internal

To ensure you get the next level of performance in Vivo V20 and V20 Pro, the company embarked on a world-class Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset for V20 and Snapdragon 765G chipset to support 5g connectivity on Vivo V20 Pro. Both the phone has excellent AI capabilities alongside powerful cores and highly efficient 8 nm architecture.

In addition, the Adreno GPU takes performance to a new level with Snapdragon Elite Gaming. The next thing to focus on is Funtouch UI 11 running on top of Android 10. Unlike Android Stock, Funtouch UI has a lot of customizations, and decent features, but it still lags behind some popular custom UI like Oxygen OS and MIUI.

Coming to the memory department, we are restricted to just a single memory variant that basically comes with a massive configuration of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

It would have been better if Vivo could launch some more variants for the benefit of customers. Again, they didn’t even add the option to expand storage in V20 via an external SD card.

Camera

Let’s start with the rear cameras, we have an excellent configuration of a 64 MP triple camera that should work very well in very bright and low light conditions. Overall, we have a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens for capturing wide-angle snapshots, and finally a 2 MP depth sensor just to make it a triple camera setup for Vivo V20 and V20 Pro.

In addition, you get a wide range of software features, such as super night selfie, art portrait video, ultra-stable video, facial detection, 4K video recording, slow motion, etc.

At the front of the Vivo V20 Pro, a pair of 44MP and 8MP cameras built into a cutout is something that we normally never see on most phones. On the other side, V20 comes with a single 44MP selfie camera. Check here Vivo iQOO 5 for the best gaming experience phone.

Battery and Others

In the power supply department, a decent 4000 mAh Li-Po battery comes into play combined with a 33W charger that leads us to more power in less time. Sensors such as on display fingerprint, gyroscope, compass, accelerometer, and proximity are present.

Looking for market competition, wireless charging is in trend today, but Vivo V20 and V20 Pro does not support wireless charging, which is quite disappointing for Vivo fans.

Speaking of price, the Vivo V20 5g can cost around $480 (35,990 INR) and V20 around $365 (26,990 INR) as we can tell by Vivo’s specifications and history.
