Ulefone Power Armor 20WT

Ulefone Power Armor 20WT Smartphone Review – Ulefone are usually known for their sturdy body, while often they might not have decent specs in the first place. But still, they provide some of the best rigid phones in the smartphone market. Not long ago, they released the Ulefone Power Armor 20WT, which looks pretty much same as the last year’s Ulefone Power Armor 19. Although, the phone offers better specs in some departments. Yet at the same time, there are multiple shortcomings that we covered in the following review.

Hopefully, the first impression of this phone is superb, and if you are purchasing this phone, you might know what you are getting. For those who are unfamiliar with this brand, the phone might be a complete shocker for some people. Since Ulefone usually produces bulky and armored phones, the same goes for the Power Armor 20WT phone as well. So, let’s begin with a detailed review of the Ulefone Power Armor 20WT smartphone and see if this smartphone is worth purchasing.

Ulefone Power Armor 20WT Smartphone Review

Highlights

  1. Ulefone Power Armor 20WT comes with a 5.65-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD resolution.
  2. In terms of hardware support, the device equips the Helo G99 chipset under the hood.
  3. As for the software end, you are getting the Android 12 with several customization attributes.
  4. The camera setup is average as the users will obtain a 50MP primary lens with a 16MP selfie lens.
  5. Lastly, the phone delivers a massive Li-Po 10850 mAh battery configuration with 33W wired charging support.

Design and Display

As we all know the Ulefone comes with a rugged body, which gives the Power Armor 20WT a sturdy appearance. Furthermore, the phone comes with a mixed alloy and plastic combination that ensures better drop protection. However, the company launches this phone in only Black color choice, which may not be enough for many people. However, it’s good to see speakers covered with plastic material.

Not to forget, the device offers a military-grade built, alongside a massive battery configuration. With this, it’s obvious the overall weight of this phone is slightly more than the regular phone. It’s roughly around 382 grams, which is considerably heavier than most of the conventional phones. Besides this, the phone also comes with an antenna on top, which provides better connectivity, especially in remote areas.

Aside from this, the front display of the Power Armor 20WT comes with a small 5.65-inch IPS LCD panel. Through this panel, you can easily watch up to FHD resolution videos without any problem. Moreover, the phone attains 427 pixels per inch density, which offers better display quality. Last but not least, the display has protection corning gorilla glass 5.

Memory and Internal

Often, none of these Chinese rugged phones comes with 5G capabilities, which limits the users to solely rely on the 4G connectivity. One of the major reasons for this is also the hardware support. But what you can expect at the budget-friendly price point? Speaking of which, the 6nm Mediatek MT8781 Helio G99 chipset isn’t that big a choice either.

But at the same time, we won’t defend the statement that it’s good for the phone. No, it’s not because you won’t be able to perform several tasks smoothly including high-end visuals and graphic support. Moreover, it’s worth noting that the hardware section can only push the cloaking speed up to 2×2.2GHz, which is comparatively low. Although, we would not recommend you to play online games with this phone.

But if you do so, you might notice performance lag or an unstable response rate. However, the stock Android 12 interface will bring a simple interface. Yet, the smartphone makers provide standard customization attributes. At the same time, you are getting a 256GB internal storage with a 12GB RAM support. With this configuration, you won’t notice any problem with multi-media data in one place. Plus, the phone also delivers a dedicated slot for storage expansion.

Camera

Speaking of which, the phone also offers a decent camera setup, while at the same time, you are getting a standard 50MP primary lens. With this lens, the users can capture their life moments without any hassle. Furthermore, the phone also helps in taking night-mode photos. Although, the results are average. But still, the picture quality is vibrant and vivid in daylight photography.

One of the major factors would be the native camera setup, which ensures users receive superb results. Furthermore, you can even record up to 1080p resolution videos without any hassle. On top of that, the colors and contrast levels are precise. But at the same time, don’t expect decent portrait image results since it lacks a secondary camera. You can download the Gcam port app to enjoy a better photograph experience over this phone.

Anyway, the front selfie camera quality is quite refreshing and appealing. You can easily take photos and videos using the 16MP selfie lens that will make sure you are getting decent results without any problem. In terms of the video recording quality, FHD results recording is possible. But, it lacks video stabilization. Overall, don’t expect much from the camera department.

Battery and Others

One of the plus points of this phone would be the battery performance offered by the Li-Po 10850 mAh cells. Usually, it would take more than two days or so to completely drain the battery, while at the same time, the battery endurance would easily cross the 100-hour benchmark. Aside from this, the Ulefone Power Armor 20WT battery can easily provide more than 13 hours’ worth of screen time with just a single charge.

Not to forget, the phone also has a 33W wired charger that will ensure that the phone is refilled in less than two hours. Following this, there are some cool features like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, decent audio output, and other handful of other things. Besides this, the USB Type C cable is used to recharge the empty battery percentage. Lastly, the Ulefone Power Armor 20WT costs around $340 (Rs. 42,500), which is a slightly higher price as compared to the overall specs.
