Design and Display
Ulefone Power Armor 16 Pro smartphone got the most unique design layout that we have ever seen on the Ulefone. The orange texture that you notice on the front panel is actually rugged rubber that provides drop resistance, while on the other hand, the back panel has a min music box, which is wrapped around the circular camera module.
Aside from this, there’s a Pogo pin connector is present on the back panel, while there are a few more buttons on the side panel including volume keys, fingerprint reader power button, customizable AI button, and uSmart connector. With all of those buttons and keys, the phone looks thick and it weighs around 405 grams. It’s quite heavy from the regular phone.
Though, the company doesn’t provide additional color variants, except the traditional black shade. But at the same time, they don’t compromise with the build quality and render top-notch military grade rugged body so that the users can use this phone even in the harsh condition. Furthermore, with the addon of the IP68 and IP69K rating, the phone won’t face any trouble with water splash or dust.
On the other hand, you can connect Ulefone accessories such microscope and endoscope on this smartphone in a pretty hassle-free manner. Now, let’s talk about the 5.93-inch IPS LCD panel. The bezels are thick and you won’t notice a selfie camera between them. Yet, the viewing experience with this phone is above average.
Memory and Internal
Specs-wise, the Ulefone Power Armor 16 Pro smartphone is powered through the 12nm MediaTek MT6762G Helio G25 chipset. It may be a bit outdated chipset configuration compared to the nowadays smartphone standards. But in the real-time test, you won’t face any problems performing your daily tasks. Although, we won’t recommend gaming from this phone because of low graphics and CPU setup.
However, there’s no harm with casual gaming, but there’s a strict no for advanced games. Due to the low-end hardware, you might face a sluggish performance if you compare this phone to a regular entry-level phone of 2022. But the tables will turn again with the entry of the latest Android 12 interface. With the new firmware app, you will obtain lots of personalization features with a bloatware-free experience.
Overall, you won’t face annoying ads inside the user interface, and there are different things to explore about this phone. Besides this, the phone also has a torch on top, and there’s a SIM tray port on the side panel where you will find a dedicated MicroSD slot to expand storage up to 128GB. As for the internal storage, you are getting 64GB eMMC 5.1 space that comes alongside 4GB RAM support.
Camera
The camera department is one of the weakest parts of the ULefone Power Armor 16 Pro smartphone after the hardware setup. Although, smartphone makers do invest a bit of money to improvise daylight photos and render better colors with crips contrast that finally grant fine details. However, oversaturation and noise are visible in the night mode, even if you are using the 16MP Samsung S5K2P7 sensors as the primary lens.
But if you capture photos in the proper light and know a bit about how to take photos, you won’t struggle that much with other users. Anyway, the 2MP secondary camera will provide good details when you are taking bokeh images. Plus, the macro shots are also enhanced through the autofocus features. On the other hand, the 8MP selfie offers presentable results.
Inside the camera app, you will find different modes to click your selfie according to your wishes. Besides this, the video recording can go up to 1080p resolution from both side cameras. However, the Ulefone Power Armor 16 Pro doesn’t have video stabilization. So you can’t expect anything impressive from a video recording from this phone.
Battery and Others
The Ulefone Power Armor 16 Pro smartphone houses a Li-Po 9600 mAh battery, which is pleasing for a long-lasting battery life experience. In general, the phone requires more than two hours to refuel the battery using an 18W charging block. The smartphone also supports 5W reverse charging. Indeed, you can easily squish 12 hours of screen time from this phone with a single charge.
But the most noteworthy thing about this device would be the 122-decibel loudspeaker. With this, you don’t need a music system for the party as this phone will produce a loud and clear sound output. Moreover, it got a 3.5 mm jack with a Type C charging port at the bottom. In terms of the price, the Ulefone Power Armor 16 Pro smartphone cost $221 (Rs. 17,999 in India) approx, which is a quite good deal for all of those additional perks.

Conclusion
The Ulefone Power Armor 16 Pro smartphone is logically not a great upgrade from last year if we remove the fact that the phone provides the latest Android 12 interface. Apart from this, everything that is featured on this phone has already appeared in the previous generation phones. Moreover, compared to the competition, the device does feel underwhelming when it comes to performance.
However, if you work in extreme situations, then regular phones are out of the checklist as they won’t be able to sustain or work properly in those humid and dusty conditions. Yet, the phone doesn’t give value-for-money vibes. Instead of that, we would suggest you go with the Ulefone Armor X11 Pro would be a more practical choice.
No IR Camera. This is the only reason why I purchased the previous version.
