These two new smartphones were released in August 2023 and are meant to provide the latest smartphones to budget users who are in the market to buy a new smartphone. As it is a T-Mobile smartphone, it only works with the T-Mobile network and is only available in places where the T-Mobile network is available. The design of the new smartphones is identical to the previous iteration, Revvl 6 and 6 Pro. The two new smartphones still feature the same polycarbonate for the entire body of the smartphone. The Revvl 6x is smaller compared to the Pro model and that’s because the display of the Revvl 6x is smaller compared to the Pro model. The REVVL 6x Pro is available for purchase in Grey and Blue options, while the Revvl 6x Pro version is available in Dark Blue and Black colors.
Speaking of the display, the T-mobile Revvl 6x has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with 720p HD+ resolution. While the T-mobileRevvl 6x Pro has a 6.82-inch IPS LCD display with a similar 720pHD+ resolution. These are the same panel as last year with very few improvements. However, they are not bad in quality and the color reproduction and the viewing are decent. But that doesn’t change the fact that the display could have been upgraded in terms of resolution or refresh rate. All in all, both devices underwhelm in terms of display department and that is not expected with the pricing the brand makers ask for.
Memory and Internal
The REVVL 6x and Revvl 6x Pro come with the 7nm Mediatek Dimesnity700 chipset that is capable of reaching up to a 2×2.2GHz clocking speed, So, using apps like Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and a few games will be great chipset can easily handle it. The GPU of both smartphones, Mali-G57 MC2, is also good at gaming.
It can run games like PUBG, CODm, and even Genshin Impact, but don’t expect high framerates. Also, it’s a 5G smartphone, so it can get gigabit speeds. There are no issues of overheating as well. For RAM and storage, T-Mobile Revvl 6x has 4GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage, while T-Mobile Revvl 6x Pro has 6GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of internal storage.
When it comes to the software side of things, the smartphones run on the latest Android 13 OS or Android 12 OS with a stock-like interface. Besides this, you will receive a microSD card slot on the device to expand storage limits, however major customizations on the interface is still not possible and we can say that the hardware section could have been a bit better as per the pricing of the smartphone. Camera
The T-Mobile REVVL 6x smartphone sports a triple rear camera system, while the T-Mobile REVVL 6x Pro smartphone sports a quad rear camera system. T-Mobile Revvl 6x has a 50MP sensor as the main camera and the rest are two 2MP macro and depth cameras. However, the T-Mobile Revvl 6x Pro has all three sensors as the Revvl 6x along with an extra 5MP sensor for the ultra-wide camera.
The main camera in both the T-Mobile Revvl 6x and Revvl 6x Pro smartphones manages to capture decent photos with details and high dynamic range, thanks to the 50MP sensor. However, the 5MP ultra-wide sensor that is only available in the T-Mobile Revvl 6x Pro is not a decent sensor and the pictures are not good either.
On the front, the T-Mobile Revvl 6x has an 8MP/ 5MP selfie camera respectively for the USA and Europe markets, while the Pro model has a 16MP selfie sensor. The Pro model has even better skin tone and detail levels but the same can’t be said for the Revvl 6x lenses. As for video recording, both smartphones record videos at a maximum of 1080P@30FPS from the rear camera while the selfie camera maxes out at [email protected] from this, there is no support for stabilization so videos may come out shaky. Overall, the camera section disappoints on both the devices and underperforms as compared to its competitors.
Battery and Others
The T-Mobile Revvl 6x has a Li-Ion 4500 mAh battery that can last for 2 days with light usage. But the T-Mobile Revvl 6x Pro has a Li-Ion5000mAh high-capacity battery. This will allow the pro smartphone to provide even more battery backup out of the new smartphone. However, if you play too many games on the smartphone, then the battery will last approx. a day. But there’s nothing to worry about as the smartphones have support for 15W wired fast charging.
It is slower than other fast chargers but still better than the standard charger. On top of that, the charger is included in the box. T-Mobile smartphones are not the greatest name in the smartphone industry but they plan to change that with the T-Mobile Revvl 6x and Revvl 6x Pro smartphones. The devices arrive with 5G connectivity which is quite a good thing. Apart from this, the brand makers packed it with a decent-sized battery and balanced performance. The software side also offers a stock-like user experience. Still, there are too many downsides to these smartphones that can’t be ignored.
The major downside is that both smartphones fail to identify their audience i.e., camera-centric or performance-centric. Apart from this, the display offered feels outdated and the cameras are too compromised. Definitely, the smartphone can back you up in daily tasks but still, every user looks for value of their money in the smartphone.
