Design and Display

In general, the Infinix phones didn’t change their design layout. It is noticeable that the company didn’t modify the back panel appearance as compared to last year’s Note 30 series phones. You will receive the plain and solid color variant with the Note 40 Pro and 40 Pro Plus. Both of them offer sturdy plastic back panels with a matte finish.

The Vintage Green color is available in both phones, while if you are looking for something different, check out the Titan Gold option for Note 40 Pro. Not to forget, the Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus also offers an exclusive Obsidian Black Vintage paint job. Through this, it’s possible to pick a decent color variety of your choice. In terms of protection, both devices are equipped with an IP53 rating that gives dust and splash resistance to a certain extent.

On the other hand, the Infinix Note 40 Pro and Note 40 Pro Plus come with a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with FHD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. Typically, this configuration is best if you want to stream content and enjoy social media, and other activities. The colors and contrast are accurate, while the 1300 nits screen brightness isn’t that bad. The screen also includes an under-display fingerprint scanner, corning glass protection, and a face ID feature.

Memory and Internal

When it comes to the performance department, both of the models are equipped with the Dimineisty 7020 chipset. Typically, the phones can easily reach up to 2×2.2 GHz cloaking speed, which is considered normal for a mid-range phone. Thus, you should set high expectations from the octa-core processor. It also includes extreme gaming and long-hour content consumption.

After a couple of hours of gaming or social media usage and users might notice heating issues on heavy use. The reason for that would be an average cooling system. Although the phone gives a stable performance with daily activities, the navigation is enhanced with faster touch response. As for the software customization, the phones deliver the Android 14-based XOS 14 skin.

There’s no doubt that XOS gives a wide range of personalization options. But at the same time, the interface is loaded with ads and bloatware. Some of them can be deactivated using the settings menu, but there are a handful of apps that users can’t disable, even after multiple tries. Aside from this, it’s a piece of good news that the company provides impressive 256GB UFS 2.2 space with an 8GB RAM option for the Note 40 Pro and 12GB RAM for the Note 40 Pro+ variant.

Camera

There’s a stereotypical norm of average camera performance among mid-range phone smartphones. But, it’s an entirely different story with the Infinix Note 40 Pro and 40 Pro Plus phones. The daylight photos give accurate light and color saturation so that you capture decent images with the 108MP primary sensor. On top of that, the camera app also handles low-light photos with advanced software support.

But at the same time, the light flair, noise, and grains were noticed when you are using the standard camera mode. However, the phones include additional camera sensors such as 2MP macro and depth sensors. But they didn’t have a huge impact on the overall photography and videography aspect. However, the users can’t rely on the main camera sensor, the Note 40 Pro and 40 Pro Plus bring a 32MP selfie camera setup.

The selfie camera results are looking good enough for the price range, while colors and contrast come out great with excellent details. You can also use the portrait mode for clicking details images with a blurred background effect. As for video recording, there are multiple video recording modes available inside the native camera that can record up to 1440p resolution video. However, the lack of video stabilization software won’t give satisfying results.

Battery and Others

The battery usage depends on the users, if you are playing gaming, the phone battery will run out soon. But when you are just streaming content or scrolling TikTok, reels, or YouTube shorts, the screen time would be more. With the Infinix Note 40 Pro, you can easily get up to 5 hours of screen time for regular activities, while the phone needs up to an hour to refuel the 5000 mAh battery using a 50W wired charger. It also includes 20W wireless charging as an additional feature.

On the other hand, the Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus grants a 4600 mAh battery with a 100W wired charger and the same wireless charging capabilities. Although, you have to purchase a wireless charger. Anyway, the phone will deliver up to four hours of screen time for day-to-day activities. At the same time, you can rely on the turbocharger to refill the battery in less than 30 minutes. Infinix also grants stereo speakers with superb audio quality.

Alongside this, the phones are tuned by JBL so that you can expect crisp audio results. Moreover, the phone equips with new Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,,5G connection, and NFC sensors. It allows users to push the device’s limits to their full potential. In terms of the price point, the Infinix Note 40 Pro may cost around $290 (Rs 24,999 in India) approx, whereas the Note 40 Pro Plus costs roughly $301 (Rs 24,999 in India) approx.
