Design and Display

The Ulefone Armor 18T Ultra is a rugged smartphone and it certainly looks like that. It has multiple screws on the sides of varying sizes, which gives it a sturdy look and feel. One look at its design and you will understand this is a smartphone that is built for people who work in high-risk environments. This is a phone that will survive almost anything, so it complies with the MIL-STD-810H standard. The smartphone is also protected by the IP68/69K dust, and water resistance. Aside from this, the smartphone weighs around 409 grams.

It will also survive high-altitude drops. The body of the smartphone is well protected by the popular Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Speaking of the display, you get a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution for good clarity.

The display also has a 120Hz high refresh rate for a smoother user experience. However, Ulefone doesn’t feel too great about fancy colors, so the smartphone will only be available in a single black color. One thing missing on this device is the better nits brightness so, the outdoor experience can be a bit compromising.

Memory and Internal

The Ulefone Armor 18T Ultra comes with a newer 6nm MediatekDimensity 7050 SoC, that can run multiple apps smoothly without any issues. It has two high-performance CPU cores, that can reach up to a 2×2.6GHz clocking speed and they do all the powerlifting and the heavy work that needs the performance. While the six efficiency cores take care of the background processing.

The performance of this SoC will give other smartphones tough competition, that are manufactured on a 6nm architecture. The chipset features 5G connectivity, which is a requirement for the new-age industrial workers. So, downloading multiple apps will process faster than ever. The GPU inside the Ulefone Armor 18T Ultra is the Mali-G68 MC4, GPU and can run all your favorite games very smoothly, including games like PUBG and CODmbut at medium graphic settings.

The Ulefone Armor 18T Ultra also comes with the latest Android 13 OS and a clean user interface. The smartphone has a single variant with 12 GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, which is certainly an overkill. However, if you still feel the need to expand the storage, the smartphone has support for a hybrid MicroSD expansion slot. On top of that, you can also attach accessories such as a Microscope or an Endoscope via the magnetic connector in the rear panel. The accessories are sold separately. Overall, you will receive decent performance from the hardware of the Armor 18T Ultra smartphone.

Camera

The Ulefone Armor 18T Ultra has a triple rear camera system with a 108MP primary camera, 5MP macro, and a 5MPFLIRthermal camera. The 108MP primary camera takes some incredible photos that tend to have high detail levels, accurate colors, and a high dynamic range. The 5MP macro sensor won’t win any world records but will get the job done when it comes to taking detailed pictures of smaller objects.

Industrial workers who work underground know the difficulty of working in some dark situations. There are hexa-LEDs flash on the back that can light up the environment. Thermal imaging can also help in this case with its professional capabilities. On top of that, thermal imaging can help detect fault connections, check for hotspots, and various other applications. This 5MP thermal imaging sensor is quite capable and can come in handy when really needed.

On the front of the Ulefone Armor 18T Ultra, there’s a 32MP selfie camera, which is more than decent and can capture some decent selfies. For video recording, the phone manages to shoot up to a maximum of 4Kvideos@30FPS from the rear cameras but the selfie camera at the front can shoot at a maximum of [email protected], there is no support for gyro-EIS stabilization on any of the cameras so videos may come out shaky.

Battery and Others

The Ulefone Armor 18T Ultra has a very huge Li-Po 9600mAh battery and such high capacity will allow the smartphone to last for multiple days on a single charge, which can be necessary to work in industrial environments. While a large battery does bring some great battery backup, recharging a such huge battery can also be a huge headache.

Conclusion

The Ulefone Armor 18T Ultra smartphone has high-end and powerful components at your disposal, including 5G, a decent performance chipset, thermal imaging, and a huge battery. These components make the smartphone the perfect smartphone for modern-day industrial workers. On top of that, the additional accessories elevate the experience further and make it a must-have smartphone for any work environment.

Ulefone delivers everything it promises and then some more at a very reasonable price tag. However, not everything is as rosy as it sounds. The accessories are sold separately and are not cheap by any means. Many of Ulefone’s smartphones have infrared sensors as well and they are missing here. The smartphone even doesn’t have the ultra-wide camera that the non-T Armor 18 Ultra model had.

However, you can’t expect everything from a smartphone that is available at such a reasonable price. If you want a better durable smartphone for harsh conditions, then the Doogee V20 is the best option available in the market. The Armor 18T Ultra further arrives with an impressive set of specs, however, the final decision is up to you.
