Nokia C2 Tava Review, Pros and Cons – Global HMD a few months ago launched yet another entry-level smartphone, better known as “Nokia C2 Tava” in the United States, with some features identical to the global variant Nokia C2. Although the phone is designed for the budget segment and there are some new tweaks that work behind the scenes to increase performance.
The Nokia C2 Tava or Tennen combines with a small screen with mediocre hardware support, alongside inadequate camera technical support, while, on the other hand, its starting price is around the US $ 109, which is quite fair, since has the standard specifications. Let’s see the highlights to learn more about the Nokia C2 Tava.
Nokia C2 Tava Review
- Nokia C2 appears to have the same old IPS LCD screen with adequate pixel density.
- It is powered by the entry-level Helio A22 chipset and PowerVR GE8320 graphics.
- Besides that, you see a dual-camera configuration with a 5MP selfie port.
- In terms of storage, there are two memory variants – 2/16 GB and 2/32 GB.
- Equipped with a 3000 mAh battery and supports a 10W charging block.
- This device is only available in the USA.
Design and Display
The Tempered Blue plastic frame is the only color that the company sports with this variant. In addition, the Nokia C2 Tava consists of a simple and elegant polycarbonate body to which you will not see a fingerprint scanner on the rear or side panel, but as usual, the dedicated AI button is connected.
Now, speaking of the front display, the screen has old thick bezels on the top and bottom. A 5.45 inches HD+ screen covered with an IPS LCD panel offers 720p resolution and offers enough pixel density to generate steady, smooth views on the screen. Although in broad daylight due to the low brightness settings, you will not be able to see what happened on the screen.
Memory and Internal
The good news is that the Nokia C2 Tava did not come with the Android Go edition instead, it receives Android 10 in stock and prepares a clean interface for users. In addition to the software section, the internal configuration is moderate in terms of performance, as the device follows the 16 nm Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset on its board and is powered by 2 GB of RAM.
With the installation, you can use social media, watch videos on YouTube, and more to store up to 16 GB and 32 GB of internal storage. Plus, you can make space on your phone via a microSD port.
A dual-camera port is installed on the rear panel which features an 8MP and 2MP main depth lens. The front camera of 5 MP works very well to provide images of a moderate level. In addition, there are some AI-based resources for designing normal layer snaps. But on the negative side, grains, distortion in the corner, excess smoothness, etc., are preset to come on the phone.
Battery and Others
The Li-Po 3000 mAh battery peak power maintains a quality screen time of more than 6 hours and, in moderate use, can last for many hours. In addition, the 10 W charging support slightly decreases the time of the battery filling process.
This device may not have all kinds of features, but an inch was missing in terms of key features and software. Although its sound quality is still low, it has a 3.5 mm jack to support FM radio.
