Design and Display
The Honor Magic 6 Pro smartphone features a flagship-grade design with elegant curves on the sides similar to the Honor Magic 6. The side and the mid-frame are made of aluminum, while the rear panel is made of glass. This combination of premium materials in combination with its curved sides provides a premium touch to its users.
It also looks quite magnificent and comes with some attractive color options, such as Black, Green, Blue, Purple, and White. On the front, you get a 6.8-inches LTPO OLED display with 120Hz high refresh rate support. The display is color-accurate and can display HDR content flawlessly. The display is also protected by a special Jurhino Glass.
The panel is also capable of displaying over a Billion colors and can get plenty bright at over 1600 nits when you set the brightness setting to full. However, under direct sunlight, the display can get as bright as 5000 nits. This ensures that you get the same display experience outdoors as you do indoors. Also, the entire smartphone is protected by IP68 dust and water resistance.
Memory and Internal
Honor outfitted the Magic 6 Pro with the newest flagship chipset, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 5G, which is capable of reaching clock speeds of 1×3.3 GHz. It’s the most powerful Android chipset and is capable of running all your social media apps, games, and more. The raw performance of the chipset is tremendous and you can see that when running games.
It can run many popular games, such as Genshin Impact, PUBG Mobile, and CODm with the highest graphical options and smooth framerates. The chipset also supports 5G connectivity, so enjoy gigabit-level speeds and gaming with low latency. The Honor Magic 6 Pro is running on Android 14 out of the box with the new MagicOS 8 user interface for better customization support.
For RAM and storage, the smartphone can be purchased with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Sadly, the internal storage cannot be expanded later. So, it’s best to purchase the smartphone with a high-capacity storage option beforehand.
Camera
The Honor Magic 6 Pro has a 180MP triple rear-camera system. The primary camera consists of a 50MP sensor with OIS and this sensor is capable of taking some incredible pictures with great detail levels and a natural color tone. Then there’s the 180MP periscopic telephoto camera that can destroy the zoom capabilities of the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra at 2.5x optical zoom.
This telephoto sensor takes extremely detailed pictures with no color shift when compared to the main camera sensor. The third camera is an ultra-wide camera and it consists of a 50MP sensor. This ultra-wide sensor manages to preserve all the details with no distortion around the edges. Also, during nighttime, you can switch on the night mode. It will further boost the picture quality. On the front, you get a 50MP selfie camera and that can take some incredibly detailed selfies.
The pictures have natural colors and the subject’s facial features are captured correctly. When it comes to video recording, the rear cameras can shoot up to 4K@60FPS, and the footage is stabilized with both OIS and gyro-EIS. But the selfie camera can only shoot videos at a maximum of 4K@30FPS with only gyro-EIS for stable video footage. The cameras can also record in HDR and 10-bit videos.
Battery and Others
The Honor Magic 6 Pro has a Li-Po 5600mAh non-removable battery, so it can last 1 – 2 days with lighter usage. With heavier usage, including video editing or gaming, the battery will drain quickly. This is solid battery life considering all the high-end tech the smartphone has. On top of that, the smartphone has support for high-speed charging capabilities.
It supports the 80W wired fast charger, which will fully charge the smartphone in under 45 minutes. The smartphone also supports 66W high-speed wireless charging. This is a revolutionary fast wireless charging that you will fall in love with. It can fully charge the smartphone in under an hour. It also supports both reverse wired and wireless charging to charge your Bluetooth earphones.
Apart from that, the phone also has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, an under-display fingerprint scanner, a 3D facial biometric scanner, NFC, GPS, and stereo speakers. It also supports satellite connectivity for emergency SOS. The Honor Magic 6 Pro starts at $840 (Rs 69,900 in India) approx.

Conclusion
The Honor designed the best flagship smartphone with the Honor Magic 6 Pro. They wanted to provide a better alternative to the best flagship smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and they achieved it, more or less. If you take the display, the Honor Magic 6 Pro smartphone can be out of the park. The same goes for the design and the charging department.
But it’s not all roses and sunshine. It doesn’t beat all the flagship phones in every department and we can’t expect them to, not at this price range. It costs significantly less while providing similar or even better specs as you now know. So, if you are in the market for a new flagship smartphone, then may give this smartphone a try and save some cash in the result.
But if you want brand value or can’t get out of the iOS ecosystem, then this smartphone is not for you. The closest alternative to this smartphone is the iQOO 12 Pro, which sports similar specs while costing even less. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.
