Google Pixel 5 Specification and Leaks

Google’s phones are well reputed for its camera quality and still, Pixel 4 is one of the best camera phones out there. But, competition is kept increasing in the market as companies like Samsung, Xiaomi is coming with phones with 108MP cameras.

There are rumors that this year’s Pixel would be more costly in comparison to last year’s Pixel 4. As per reports, what we know so far that Pixel 5 might have a U-shaped camera setup on the back. Front Tech Page claims that the Pixel 5 still might have that ugly top bezel just like Pixel 4.

Talking about the display, Google used a 90Hz OLED display on Pixel 4 and there are chances that the company will not leap to 120Hz as even with 90Hz there were some issues when the display is dimmed. Also, one more reason is the battery as Google never exceeds the 4000mAh mark. Samsung has used 120Hz display in its latest smartphones like S20 Ultra as it provides a high capacity battery that can handle the high refresh rate.

Pixel 5 is likely to be a 5G smartphone which is expected to have either Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 768G. Both of them are the latest processors that can be used for 5G connectivity. One thing that is confirmed for Pixel 5 that it will be the first phone to run on Android 11 with the latest UI changes, permission controls, etc.

Moving to the cameras, Pixel 5 as per reports would have 3 sensors – the main sensor, a telephoto lens, and an ultrawide lens unlike Pixel 4. Google phones always come with batteries having low capacity but better battery management features.

So we can expect Pixel 5 will be released at the end of 2020, the expected price will be USD 799 or above and bring major improvements, features, and changes, unlike the previous versions.
