Design and Display
ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro sports an elegant layout with a glass back, glass front & metal frame. The curved screen has a centered punch-hole as well as an in-screen fingerprint sensor, while the textured back with the glossy plate at the rear houses the camera module. Despite no IP rating is obtained by the device, which is a let-down for this segment.
Although the 199 grams handset is heavy, still the weight is well-balanced for its size. In addition, Interstellar Black and Galaxy Galaxy are the two graceful colors offered by the company. You can precisely choose anything that fits your taste and preference. While on the other hand, the light-weight and slim body give additional appealing attributes to the phone.
As for the display, the 6.67 inches screen owns an AMOLED panel with 1B colors and HDR10+ resolution. On the top, the curved bezel-less display can support the highest 144Hz refresh rate. The display really stands out and enhances the details during gaming or watching content, even in the highest graphic settings. Moreover, the peak brightness of 1000 nits makes the usage comfortable under all lighting conditions. So, overall the display meets the standard of the flagship devices.
Memory and Internal
Further, the handset is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon’s standard Android flagship, 8 Gen 1 chipset coupled with Adreno 730 graphics processor. Thus, the performance is undoubtedly among the best. Also, the Gaming performance & online streaming experience is upright with controlled heating and excellent graphics.
As far as RAM and in-built storage is considered, users attain multiple variants, ranging from 8GB, 12GB to 16GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB, 512GB to 1TB internal storage. So, the storage options are enough to provide plenty of space for your contacts, music, photos, apps, and more. However, You do not get an SD card slot for expanded storage.
For the software, Nubia Z40 Pro boots MyOS 12 based on the newest Android 12. Well, Z40 Pro will be the first to run MyOS 12. Hopefully, the smartphones will fetch loads of customization options accompanied by top-most privacy features. But still, you will notice a few bloatware apps during your usage.
Camera
ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro’s triple camera setup on the rear consists of a 64 MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP 116° ultra-wide unit, and an 8 MP periscope shooter with OIS. The main camera image quality is appropriate as the pictures are clear with well-balanced colors & contrast.
Ultra-wide Shots are equally good, but a telephoto lens provides even better results. Just like primary, the telephoto supports Optical Image Stabilisation, thus delivering satisfactory snaps. Other camera features include Dual-LED flash, panorama, and HDR. With this, you can expect decent results from the camera app.
For video calls & selfies, Z40 Pro equips a 16 MP front camera. Though the selfies are pleasing, the picture quality is just average. But on the other hand, if the company would have added an under-display selfie camera, the screen look more elegant and premium according to now. However, there’s no denying that the notch is pretty tiny, and won’t even notice it while playing games or watching videos.
Battery and Others
Based on the battery, We find two versions of the ZTE nubia Z40 Pro one is regular, whereas the other is the gravity version. The regular version owns a Li-Po 5000 mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. On the other hand, the gravity version carries a Li-Po 4600 mAh battery with 66W fast charging plus 15W fast magnetic wireless charging. It is the world’s first commercially available Android smartphone with a magnetic charging solution.
Therefore, you can get your hands on either of these and won’t get disappointed because the battery provisions are beyond imagination. Apart from this, users get all the vital comms like NFC, GPS, 5.2 Bluetooth, etc. Also, the accelerometer, gyro, compass, and proximity sensors are functional. Coming to the price point, the ZTE nubia Z40 Pro is available at a starting price of $545 (Rs 42000 in India) approx.

Well, there are some outstanding attributes of the ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro smartphone with a few complaints like the absence of IP rating or glass protection. Although the display, hardware & battery compilations along with design are noteworthy. Apart from this, the Nubia Z40 Pro smartphone also offers commendable camera quality and grant ample results in every condition. The same situation occurs in the videography section too.

So, if you can not wait for its global launch, then you may have a glance at 5G flagships from other brands like OnePlus, Samsung, Realme, etc which are available on the Global stage.
