Realme V30 Smartphone Review

Realme V30 Smartphone Review – Realme smartphones are widely known in the southeast markets. Many people love this brand’s device because they deliver impressive value at a pretty affordable price range. Recently, the smartphone makers launched the Realme V30, which is the upgraded version of the V20. Although, there isn’t much difference from the previous model.

But still, it is worth noting that the company is trying to implement new things to appeal to the budget segment users. Usually, we know that smartphone makers cut some corners to make the price point more appealing to interested users. Some people like those perks and some don’t. But still, it would be great if we go through the complete details of the Realme V30. So without any further ado, let’s head toward the Realme V30 review to find out more details about this phone.

Realme V30 Smartphone Review

Highlights

  1. The phone arrives with a 6.5 inches IPS LCD panel with the standard HD resolution.
  2. As for the hardware section, the company added the typical MediaTek chipset with 5G connectivity.
  3. The software end is handled through the Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 custom interface.
  4. A standard dual camera on the back is led by a 13MP lens and offers a 5MP selfie lens.
  5. A massive Li-Po 5000 mAh battery configuration appears on the Realme V30 smartphone with slow charging support.

Design and Display

The Realme V30 smartphone grants a boxy design layout with two texture that gives the back panel an amazing appearance. It somehow looks pretty similar to the Poco smartphone layout, but still, the two big camera modules complement the built quality. Besides this, there are two variants from which the users can pick the preferred one in a hassle-free manner.

If you want something fancy that stands out from the rest of the smartphones, then you should consider buying the Gold variant. It gives a glossy appearance that looks pretty impeccable while holding the phone for the first time, while the black color variant comes with a matte finish with fewer smudges experience. As for the protection aspect, you are getting the side-mounted biometric scanner.

Aside from this, you are getting a decent 6.5 inches IPS LCD panel that will grant superb color and contrast. However, the HD resolution comes with limited content resolution restrictions, and the display doesn’t support HDR crispness. Hopefully, it’s good to see that you will receive a 600 nits brightness to make screen usage in daylight possible.

Memory and Internal

The company will render a MediaTek chipset under the hood, that will ensure the users are getting an impressive performance. Although, don’t expect that much processing power from this phone as the hardware is not designed to perform high-end tasks such as long hours of gaming and video editing. However, you won’t notice any problem with the hardware since you can run your daily activities.

On the other hand, the phone delivers the Android 12 interface that will bring the customization features of the Realme UI 3.0. Though, there’s no denying that the Android 13 has already been unveiled for the latest phones. But it doesn’t look like a case from the Realme V30 smartphone because it’s an entry-level smartphone. However, it’s good to see that the users are getting various custom attributes to change the interface appearance according to their wishes.

Although, the phone is lacking a proper cooling system, still, you can face trouble using this phone in day-to-day usage. Aside from this, the users can pick between 6GB to 8GB RAM support that will be accompanied by a 128GB internal storage configuration. On top of that, the users can also utilize the micro SD slot to expand the storage limits to a certain extent.

Camera

The camera department handles through a dual camera configuration, which is a quite good combination. But still, the Realme V30 smartphone comes with a standard 13MP primary sensor that will grant decent colors and contrast support. Although, the phone does lack crisp details because the company doesn’t invest that much in AI software.

However, the device lacks proper colors even if you are using the dedicated night mode offered by the native camera app. It will provide an average portrait image with a mediocre 0.3MP depth lens, which is just for show. Although it doesn’t provide additional software support, the camera results are looking moderate. The reason for that would be the low-quality camera software.

At the same time, the phone also holds a 5MP selfie sensor that will grant subtle results. But don’t get your expectations high with the selfie camera results as you will notice grains and noise in most of the photos. On the other hand, you can record up to 1080p resolution videos from the main camera with no problem at all.

Battery and Others

Under the hood, a Li-Po 5000 mAh battery capacity brings amazing screen time to perform regular tasks. Following this, you will obtain 6+ hours without any trouble. With that, the users can utilize those long hours for calling, social media usage, and casual gaming. Now, the charging support is pretty standard, so you can’t expect that the phone will magically be charged in less than an hour.

Instead, you have to wait for two hours to refill the battery from flat to 100%. Although, the sound output is not that great, still, the complementary 3.5 mm jack needs appreciation the most. Speaking of the price point, the Realme V30 arrives at $165 (13,499 in India) approx.

Conclusion

The Realme V30 launched in mainland china so there’s a low chance to appear in another smartphone market. But still, the phone arrives with a decent display, presentable camera quality, average performance, and apt battery life. However, several downsides appear on this phone. Although, you are getting tons of other perks. But at the end of the day, it’s an affordable 5G smartphone.

We don’t find any major update from the previous Realme V20 smartphone, except the change in the back panel design layout. Apart from this, you are getting the same deal. But those factors can be overlooked since the phone is providing 5G connectivity. But if you want a value-for-money phone, we recommend checking out Oppo A58x as a complete package.
