Design and Display
The design of the Oppo Find N3 Flip didn’t have many changes as compared to last year, except for the changes in the cameras. The new Oppo Find N3 Flip has 3 cameras as opposed to 2 cameras in the previous model, Oppo Find N2 Flip. The triple camera setup is now composed of a round camera module and the smartphone comes in new colors. The new colors are Astral Black, Moonlit Gold, and Mist Rose. Other than these, there aren’t many changes.
The side frame and the foldable hinge are made of aluminum, while the back panel is made of plastic, except for the cover display, which is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Speaking of the cover display, you get a 3.26-inches AMOLED panel which is sharp enough for a small display like that. The cover display can also get as bright as 900 nits peak brightness under direct sunlight. When you unfold the smartphone, you get to see the front of the phone, which hides the foldable screen.
This screen is a 6.8 inches FoldableLTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits of peak brightness. It also has HDR10+ certification, so playing content won’t be much of an issue. The Oppo N3 Flip has no gap when folded like some other foldables and the flipping mechanism is quite smooth. The flip phone is also under 200 grams, so it’s not that heavy, and using the device should feel quite natural. All in all, the overall display department impressed us with the value it brings to us.
Memory and Internal
The chipset powering the new Oppo Find N3 Flip is the 4nm Mediatek Dimensity 9200 processor, the latest and greatest chip manufactured by Mediatekat at the end of 2022. It can reach up to a 1×3.05GHz clocking speed and this is a chipset that is capable of battle other flagship chipsets like Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Apple A16. Also, the chipset is built on 4nm, so it is very efficient and doesn’t consume a lot of power. The app-opening speed is super fast, so all your favorite apps will launch immediately and you can truly multitask.
This performance level is also carried over to the GPU side of things, so playing high-fidelity games like Genshin Impact, CODm, and PUBG, among others is no problem and the Immortalis-G715 MC11 GPU handles them perfectly. With this incredibly powerful and efficient GPU, you can play games for hours and the smartphone won’t even break a sweat.
The smartphone doesn’t generate a lot of heat, so you won’t feel any heat touching the smartphone. The smartphone comes with the latest Android 13OS out of the box with ColorOS 13.2 user interface for better customization support. The new Oppo Find N3 Flip comes with 12GB of RAM &256GB to 512GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has support for 5G connectivity for gigabit-like speeds and 5G networking is handled absolutely fine. With this set of specs, we can assure you that the device won’t disappoint you in terms of performance and user experience.
Camera
The Oppo Find N3 Fliphas three cameras on the back this time. It has a new telephoto sensor now that was missing in Find N2 Flip. The three sensors are arranged in the following manner, a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP telephoto camera with 2Xzoom capabilities. The main 50MP camera is well-optimized and capable of taking multiple camera samples before they get binned and processed into one single picture. This process is what allows the smartphone to take some amazing shots.
The dynamic range and the sharpness of the shots coming out of the main sensor are natural and on point. The same goes for the ultra-wide camera, which also produces shots with great details and saturated colors. The telephoto camera also manages to provide some of the most impressive zoomed shots, that is, at 2x Zoom levels. If you want further zoomed-in shots, it will utilize a hybrid zoom mode, Apart from this, the night photography is also spectacular.
The Night Mode algorithm allows for some amazing pictures that have a decent amount of details in them. When the phone is unfolded, you will find a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The selfies have a good amount of detail without any noise or distortion. When it comes to video recording, the main rear camera can shoot up to 4Kvideos@30FPS. The same goes for the selfie camera, which also maxes out at 4K@30FPS. The rear cameras have OIS and gyro-EIS for stable video footage, while the selfie cameras are limited to just gyro-EIS support.
Battery and Others
The Oppo Find N3 Flip has a Li-Po 4300mAh battery inside the smartphone, which is power-efficient and can provide a full day’s worth of battery with light usage. But if you are a heavy user and include activities like photography, Netflix streaming, and gaming, then the smartphone may not last the full day. This is a great battery backup considering the powerful processor and the battery capacity.
Apart from that, the Oppo Find N3 Fliphas supports triple-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, stereo speakers, and a USB Type-C port for charging. As for pricing, the phone starts at $930 (Rs 76,999 in India) approx. However, there’s no support for wireless charging, which is a bit of a letdown. Anyways, you will receive reverse wired charging support on the device to recharge your accessories.

Conclusion
The Oppo Find N3 Flip is the latest foldable smartphone from Oppo that seems to provide a decent experience a user expects from a device. The smartphone has an impressive camera setup, a decent battery, and a powerful processor. In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, the Oppo Find N3 Flip is a bit behind in terms of display and charging support. However, it compensates for it and outperforms Galaxy Z Flip 5 in camera and storage department at a lower price.
But even though Oppo Find N3 Flip wins in price, it’s not that much of a win as the price difference isn’t big enough. Not to forget, the Oppo Find N3 Flip doesn’t have any sort of wireless charging, which could be a deal breaker for some. Still, the device provides the value for money, you are going to spend on the smartphone. The choice between the two boils down to what you need in a smartphone and which smartphone provides them better. Both smartphones have their own unique set of specs and therefore choose a device based on your requirements. You can buy any of them so the final decision is up to you.
