WhatsApp To Quit and Stop Running For List of Phones By 31 December

WhatsApp updated its cell phone blog to declare the end of support for the Windows and other Phones end of this year. For this situation, the end of support isn’t restricted to future updates yet, however it implies that whatsapp user on this platform not able to use WhatsApp.

This new update applies to all the phones running any version of the Windows OS. WhatsApp was quit working for Windows Phone 7 in 2016 and now Facebook has declared to end the support for every Windows phones on December 2019.

List of Phones that Will Not Run WhatsApp

WhatsApp Stoped support for the Nokia Symbian S60 in June 30, 2017, and the BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 stop running whatsapp application from December 31, 2017. The List of OS that won’t probably run Whatsapp include:

  • 31 December 2019 All Windows Phone
  • 31 January 2020 All Android 2.3.7 and older
  • 31 January 2020 All iPhone iOS 7 and older

The Whatsapp blog says that since there are no new feature included to WhatsApp on above listed platform so few features may not work sooner or later.

WhatsApp UWP (Universal Windows Platform)

WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp is running on UWP, the UWP will permit the whatsapp application to be utilized on the recent version of Windows Phone and Windows Desktop platform too, however report did not mention regarding the application and its dispatch date.

However WhatsApp reported to stop support for the Windows Phone after December 31, so from 2020 every phones running any Windows OS will not able to use WhatsApp.
