TSMC's founder confirms the production of 3nm chips in Arizona

Morris Chang, the founder of TSMC confirms the news of new $12 billion investment.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) to develop 3nm chipsets on new plant in Pheonix, Arizona. 

The new plant will be developed close to Pheonix wafer fab complex, known for manufacturing 5nm chipsets.

A "tool-in" ceremony is expected be held on 6th of December 2022 by TSMC.

TSMC is rumuored to supply its 3nm chips for the next-gen Apple devices.

70% of chipset shipments were delivered by TSMC in the first quarter of 2022.

TSMC is expanding chains around US states such as Washington, California, Texas etc.

TSMC to bring its most advanced chip technology to the United States.

TSMC counters Apple decision to reduce reliance on chips manufactured in Asia.

Main factories of TSMC are currently located in Taiwan i.e., its home country.
