Samsung launched its new midrange chipset dubbed Exynos 1380 SoC in February 2023.

The improved SoC also supports UFS 3.1 storage and an enhanced AI engine for a better user experience.

The SoC is a successor to last year's Exynos 1280 with a few feature upgrades.

The SoC can support devices with FHD+ resolution and high 144Hz refresh rate alongside 200MP camera.

Fabricated on Samsung 5nm EUV process, the SoC features an octa-core CPU unit.

The 4x Cortex A78 performance cores are clocked at 2.4Ghz while 4x Cortex A55 efficiency cores can reach up to a 2.0Ghz clocking speed.

GPU support on the Exynos 1380 SoC is managed by ARM's Mali-G68 MP5 graphic unit.

Enhanced AI engine provides more advanced language recognition for voice assistant features.

On-device AI capabilities on the new SoC also provide enhanced image recognition claims Samsung.

For connectivity purpose, the chip is integrated with a 5G modem and support both mmWave and sub-6GHz networks.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A54 will be hosting the Exynos 1380 chipset for the very first time.
