Latest addition to MediaTek chipset lineup with Dimensity 7200 was announced for the midrange segment.

The SoC lies close to high-end Dimensity 9200 featuring 5G support, game optimization, and better battery efficiency.

Mediatek claims its new addition, under raw performance Dimensity 7200 scores more than Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in Geekbench results.

Dimensity 7200 being an octa-core CPU has two ARM Cortex-A715 performance cores and six Cortex-A510 efficiency cores.

The performance cores of this Octa-core SoC can reach up to a 2.8GHz clocking speed.

The graphics unit is a quad-core ARM Mali G610 GPU scoring 100-120fps on the Manhattan GFX benchmark.

Unless Full HD+ resolution is not exceeded, the company claims display to support a 144Hz refresh rate.

Outfitted with Mediatek Imagiq 765 and a 14-bit HDR-ISP, the Dimensity 7200 supports up to 200MP main camera.

Main Camera can record 4K HDR video with dual video capture at 1080p resolution with all-pixel autofocus.

Equipped with Mediatek APU, it has enhanced battery consumption and also helps with computational photography.

The chipset supports sub-6Hz 5G with 2CC carrier Aggregation and theoretical download speed of up to 4.7Gbps, while expected to arrive in China in Q1 2023.

The chipset enables Dual 5G SIM connectivity with dual VoNR, the latest Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3 in the package.
