Google launch Matter for Nest Home and Android devices

Google officially launched Matter support for Google Nest and Android devices.

Matter by Google is a smarthome platform that helps to inter-operate between different ecosystems.

Matter smart home also enables one platform to support an incompatible device.

Google's Matter acts as a bridge between Internet and other thread-compatible devices in your home.

Currently Matter support is available for a variety of devices including Nest Mini, Nest Audio, Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max, Google Home, Nest WiFi Pro, and Google Home Mini.

More Nest devices including Nest Thermostat and Nest WiFi will get support in 2023 according to Google.

For iOS devices, the Google Home app will get support of Matter by next year.

Any Matter compatible app will be able to control a device in your home network.

Google's Matter uses WiFi and Thread Protocol to help establish connection between smart home devices.
