Google ‘Talk to a Live Rep’

Google has a new feature that lets you do just that: Talk to a Live Rep

It’s an extension of the Hold for Me feature that was exclusive to Pixel phones

Now, you can access it from any Android phone by searching for a business on Google

When you tap the call button, you’ll see an option to Talk to a Live Rep

If you select it, Google Assistant will wait on hold for you and notify you when a human answers

You can also see the status of your call and the estimated wait time on your screen

You can use your phone normally while Google Assistant holds the line for you

This feature is powered by Duplex, Google’s AI technology that can make natural-sounding phone calls

Talk to a Live Rep is rolling out to all US users in English over the next few weeks
