Google to release Android 14 on the day of the Pixel 8 announcement
Android 14 is the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, and it’s coming soon
The new OS brings many improvements, such as predictive back gestures, custom lock screen clocks, more private PIN entry options
Android 14 was expected to launch this week, but it seems that Google has delayed the release until October 4
The new rumored release date coincides with Google’s Pixel 8 launch event, which will take place in New York City
The Pixel 8 series will consist of two models: the standard Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro
The Pixel 8 will sport a smaller 6-inch display, while the Pixel 8 Pro will have a larger 6.7-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate
Both phones will be powered by the Tensor G3 chip, Google’s own custom processor that promises better AI and machine learning capabilities
The Pixel 8 series will also feature improved cameras, with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto zoom on the Pro model
The Pixel 8 phones will be available in various colors, such as Jade, Licorice, Porcelain, Sky, Haze, and Peony
The Pixel 8 is expected to start at $699, while the Pixel 8 Pro could cost as much as $999
