Apparently, the Vivo Y30 was launched in May 2020, but it heads to the Indian market after a long wait.

Vivo Y30 Review

Highlights

  1. It has an IPS LCD panel as the screen with an average PPI density format on the screen.
  2. Under the hood, an Helio P35 is responsible for all processing and performance statistics.
  3. A quad camera with 13 MP as the main sensor comes with the phone.
  4. On this phone, you will receive a standard charging speed in the box, which helps to charge the Li-Po 5000 mAh battery.
  5. The starting price of the Vivo Y30 is $200 (15,000 INR).

Design and Display

The basic plan, but with an elegant design, matches the rear panel, providing a fascinating look from head to toe, while the square relief of the camera plate can be felt. The weight and thickness ratio are increased due to the robust internal door and the huge battery, which is why the phone appears to be a little more robust than a normal device.

As for the front screen, you wouldn’t see the gorilla glass shield, but you’ll get a 6.47 inches HD+ resolution IPS LCD screen and get a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. Although, this flat dot notch screen has thick bezels at its chin.

Memory and Internal

The phone can be accessed in 4 GB of RAM that comes along with 128 GB of internal storage, which you can expand up to 256 GB through a micro-SD card slot. In terms of software features, Funtouch 10.0 based on Android 10 combines some fantastic tweaks for advanced processes and games.

Multi-Turbo 3.0 increases the speed of the cores for better processing, while on the same note, Ultra Game Mode extends the limits of gameplay with its various customizations. In addition to the software package, a 12 nm Mediatek Helio P35 SoC is integrated into the phone with its octa-core configuration. Check out the Vivo Y20 series smartphone’s pros and cons.

Camera

The 8 MP front selfie camera with a drilled hole covers a little more space than the small regular notch, which can decrease the viewing experience to some extent.

But on the other hand, the rear panel features a quad-camera configuration configured with a 13 MP main lens, and the second configuration includes the usual 8 MP ultra-wide and a combination of 2 MP depth and macro lens. On paper, they grant 1080p video recording with AI-based photography software to improve overall images and video quality.

Battery and Others

The company placed a Li-Po 5000 mAh battery juice inside the phone and they offer standard 10W charging speed. At the same time, Vivo also ensured that Vivo Y30 can hold up to 9 hours of a game session, which we think is not possible since, in reality, the average 5000 mAh battery reaches 6 hours of the game. On the other hand, it takes a long time to fill the battery.

The sound quality is decent and it has a 3.5 mm jack support. In addition, they place the fingerprint sensor on the back and offer communications apparently on the motherboard to provide unusual grade communication.

Conclusion

Vivo Y30 is a brilliant device that offers tremendous user-centric features, as well as enhanced photography with its camera module configuration. In addition, the huge battery is the bright spot of the phone, although there are some flaws, such as a low-resolution limit and slightly slower performance.

Still, it is capable of rendering exceptional overall performance, which is sufficient for daily checks of social media and streaming content. In our opinion, compared to its competitors, Redmi 9 Prime is much better in terms of specifications, but in the end, it would not provide a quality experience like the Vivo Y30 offers.
