Ulefone Armor 25T Smartphone Review – Ulefone announced the Ulefone Armor 25T in July 2024 and started shipping out to customers the same month. It is available globally via AliExpress and will ship to many countries. This rugged phone is sold for a cheaper price tag, so it has a few compromises like lack of 5G connectivity. However, the smartphone makes up for that in other areas like design, display, camera, and more, which is usually not the case with rugged phones.
The Ulefone Armor 25T actually looks quite good, especially in the Carbon Fibre design in the back with Gold accent colors. It is similar to other Ulefone smartphones sold in 2024. With such fantastic design and budget pricing, Ulefone hopes to attract more users than ever. However, design isn’t the priority when it comes to rugged phones. So, let’s begin with a detailed review of the Ulefone Armor 25T and see if this smartphone is worth purchasing.

Design and Display
The Ulefone Armor 25T is a rugged smartphone but it doesn’t quite look like one. That’s because it features an exquisite-looking design, especially with the Carbon Fibre design and Gold accent color on the rear camera module as well as on the side frame. The body is quite durable and can survive any harsh conditions without any issues, thanks to the MIL-STD-810H certification.
The smartphone is also protected against dust and water with an IP68/69K rating, so the phone will survive if you accidentally drop it in a fish tank or an industrial pool. As for the display, you get a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is an IPS panel with FHD+ resolution. It is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which offers better protection than previous versions of Gorilla Glass.
Memory and Internal
The Ulefone Armor 25T has the MediaTek Helio G99 4G chipset. While this is a decent chipset, it is an entry-level at best and Ulefone could have provided a better chipset. Coming back to this SoC, it is capable of reaching clock speeds of up to 2 x 2.2GHz and has enough performance to run daily apps and games decently, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat, and more.
Its Mali-G57 MC2 GPU can run games like PUBG mobile, Summoners War, and even CODm smoothly. It can even play Genshin Impact but only at low graphics. The smartphone is quite large, which helps in heat dissipation and keeps the phone cool. However, the chipset doesn’t have a 5G modem inside, so don’t expect 5G gigabit speeds and low latency. There’s no 5G support at all, which can be a deal breaker for many people.
When it comes to the OS, the Ulefone Armor 25T is running on Android 14 with a stock user interface, which delivers a clean user experience. As for RAM and storage, the smartphone has 6GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded by the microSDXC.
Camera
The Ulefone Armor 25T comes with a 50MP triple rear-camera system. The main camera has a 50MP sensor and it can capture some great shots with a decent amount of dynamic range, detail levels, and saturated color. However, it’s nothing ground-breaking and won’t win any records but more than good enough for posting on the internet.
Then there’s the 64MP night vision sensor, which is retrofitted with two thermal Imaging lights that help the camera take pictures in pitch-black environments. There’s a third-night vision that helps in capturing the thermal imaging of the second sensor. On the front of the Ulefone Armor 25T, there’s a 32MP sensor that can take some decent selfies with good detail levels and skin tone. As for video recording, the Ulefone Armor 25T can shoot at a maximum resolution of 1440p@30FPS from the rear camera. However, there’s no OIS or gyro-EIS of any kind.
Battery and Others
The Ulefone Armor 25T has a high-capacity Li-Po 6500 mAh battery, which can deliver a great battery life that lasts for 2 – 5 days, or even more depending on the usage. That’s almost a week on a single charge. Achieving a week’s worth of battery life is totally possible on lighter usage that includes some texting, calling, light web browsing, camera, and watching videos.
However, if you play a lot of games, then the battery will not last that long. This Ulefone smartphone surprised us with its wireless charging capability, which is usually reserved for expensive phones. It supports 33W wired and 30W wireless fast charging, and they are decently fast. However, due to the huge size of the battery, charging will take over 3 hours. Apart from that, the phone also has Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The smartphone is currently available for purchase at just $280 (Rs 23,490 in India) approx.

Conclusion
The Ulefone Armor 25T has all the right specs needed to be considered a decent rugged smartphone. It has a decent display that is well-protected. Its chipset is quite good and can play many games. Its battery is quite good and can deliver 2 to 5 days of battery life. Where the smartphone shines are the design and camera, which are quite good compared to other similarly priced smartphones.
However, there are some downsides as well, such as the lack of 5G connectivity and the inclusion of a weaker chipset. Considering the price, it’s an “Okay Smartphone” but not very existing. However, there are better options from Ulefone itself. The newer Ulefone Armor 27 Pro is much better and addresses the two issues of the Armor 25T while costing only $20 more than that. The Ulefone Armor 27 Pro has a faster chipset, a better camera system, 5G networking, more RAM, a larger battery, and more. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.
