TCL L10 Pro

TCL L10 Pro Review, Pros and Cons – The TCL smartphone may not have the best specs or features, but it does bring amazing entry-level devices. We have the TCL L10 Pro smartphone for today’s review that comes with a robust battery and other cool stuff. Unlike its big brother the TCL 10 Pro, which comes with ready-to-use features and a decent camera, the TCL L10 Pro looks a bit flat.

Phone launch on September 2nd with not so excellent launch event, but this phone might not need it anyway. In terms of availability, you can purchase the TCL L10 Pro in Brazil, and luckily, it is also available for the offline market. Now the question remains whether this budget level device can sustain the price point or not. Let’s move on towards the detailed review of the TCL L10 Pro smartphone.

TCL L10 Pro Review

Highlight

  1. The phone comes with a standard 6.22 inch IPS LCD panel that offers a resolution of up to 720p.
  2. In the hardware section, you’re getting the 28nm Unisoc SC9863A chipset under the hood.
  3. The camera section houses a 13MP main camera configuration and a 5MP selfie camera.
  4. The end of the software looks a bit flat as you’ll only get Android 10 OS with some minimal default customizations.
  5. Hopefully, you will get a decent-sized 4000 mAh battery support.

Design and Display

The TCL L10 Pro phone has neither the best nor the worst design, but it looks a bit reminiscent of the past due to its larger notch design and rear panel design. While not a concern, the bezels are quite thick compared to other smartphones. But it didn’t have an aesthetic layout like its brother the TCL 20R 5G.

Apparently, the sleek layout gives the L10 Pro phone a decent footprint, while the phone only weighs about 175 grams. Aside from that, you can choose this gizmo in Titanium Gray hue. This color option is the only option you can get the phone on, but the side panel is a little thick compared to the regular mid-ranger device.

In addition, the front display features a V-notch display on the 6.22-inches IPS LCD panel. However, the thick bezels are noticed from all angles, while the chin is wide. The color situation may not be at the best level, but you can still experience HD resolution. Although the TCL L10 Pro does not have gorilla glass protection. Except, it equips an outdated rear fingerprint reader.

Memory and Internal

The hardware section is proving to be a big disappointment not only because of the processing speed but also because of the chipset. The TCL L10 Pro smartphone equips a fairly standard entry-level 28nm Unisoc SC9863A chipset, which is quite old and doesn’t replenish the power needed for advancing multitasking. The processor will hardly be able to render a decent UI experience.

In terms of software rendering, the phone is expected to provide features of the Android 10 OS – if everything goes perfectly. However, the graphical visual experience would not be a choice here, nor would the gaming session. Fortunately, you can play some Lite games without complications, but they have limitations.

Aside from the low graphics rendering, there is a great thing about the TCL L10 Pro is that it brings adequate storage and RAM support. You can buy this device with 128GB storage with a 4GB RAM configuration, while you can also utilize a shared SIM slot to expand the storage. However, you are only getting one option that might not be enough.

Camera

TCL’s camera technology gives decent results in the mid-level but fails miserably in the entry-level segment. The same thing can be expressed for the TCL L10 Pro because most of the time the image quality would be a mistake or a hit. On the other hand, the camera lens also looks double and the use of AI software rendering is seen as minimal.

In terms of specs, the company installs a triple configuration that includes 13 MP as the main camera. With this, you can easily record videos with a resolution up to 1080p, at best, while beside the main sensor, you’ll have a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens for capturing landscape photos. There’s also a 2MP depth lens for portrait shots, but not to forget the TCL L10 Pro offers a standard 5MP selfie camera.

Also, low light photography is just for the name, you won’t notice any precise details. At the same time, the software slightly improvises normal photos to some extent, but you’ll still notice the grain and smoothness. Overall, the camera was not worth your time and there are many other devices with the same price and better camera features.

Battery and Others

The battery section offers a Li-Po 4000 mAh battery that can easily provide more than 5 hours of screen time. With this setting, you can watch your favorite programs and websites without any problem. Plus, you’re getting a decent-sized brick to power the entire system while the charging process takes place via a micro USB 2.0 port.

Then the phone features a fair amount of communications and sensors needed for everyday use. But at the same time, there’s nothing special or unique about them, and the L10 Pro relies only on 4G connectivity. Now, talking about the price range, the TCL L10 Pro phone comes with a price tag of $169 (Rs 12000) approx. which is expected high compared to the general specs.

But it will be difficult to recommend this phone to you because of its general drawbacks and flaws. If you’re looking for something different, you can also check out the Infinix Hot 10i smartphone as an alternative option.
