Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Review

Highlights

  1. The device displays six vibrant and attractive colors for its fans.
  2. The next level, Exynos 990, adds more power to the phone with 7 nm architecture.
  3. The infinite O display has super AMOLED technology combined with a high refresh rate of 120Hz.
  4. Samsung offers additional protection with IP68 resistance to water and dust
  5. There will be a 4500 mAh battery with a decent amount of fast charging speed.

Design and Display

Talking about the design of the S20 FE 4G, a range of 6 different colors from the company makes it a flagship. At the front, a small perforated camera fits in the top center of the phone, being called the infinite O-screen by Samsung. Note, the rear rectangular camera module is like the Galaxy Note 20 ultra, with triple cameras combined with an LED flash. Unfortunately, the rear panel is made of plastic, which is somewhat disappointing.

Coming to the exhibition department, there is no such feature that Samsung has forgotten to provide, which makes the Samsung screen always stand out from the others. A 6.5 inches high super AMOLED Full HDR10+ screen is housed in the device that can provide an immersive and incomparable viewing experience for the end-user. Samsung didn’t stop there, it also extended support for HDR10+ paired with a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth motion. To protect the phone from accidental drops, the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 comes to help in such situations.

Memory and Internal

The S20 FE 4G is powered by the company’s latest generation Exynos 990 chipset, which has good benchmark ratings as it is powered by the powerful Mongoose cores, as well as its efficient 7nm + architecture offers good battery backup. For games and all the required graphics tasks, the Mali-G77 MP11 has been merged with the chipset to meet the user’s needs. Under the hood, the latest OneUI 2.5 UI based on Android 10 OS seems like a cherry on top of the cake. OneUI is a clean and optimized ROM because it comes with no ads, lots of features, and a better experience.

With regard to memory, there are basically two variants for users to choose from – one is 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage and the other is 6 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage. With UFS 3.1 storage technology, there will be a much faster opening of applications and also the transfer of files. To further extend its storage, Samsung also offers support for external SD card but with a shared SIM slot.

Camera

Speaking of cameras, the company has done very well in the camera department, since a rectangular camera configuration like Note 20 is provided, which offers first-rate performance in capturing sharp and vivid photos. Speaking of details, the setup comes with a 12MP main sensor with dual-pixel technology, an 8MP telephoto lens for taking portraits and better zoom, and finally a 12MP sensor again, but it is for ultra-wide shots.

In addition, there are advanced functions such as 8K video recording for crisp and clear videos, 3x optical zoom, video stabilization to control shaky videos, and more. At the front, a 32 MP high-resolution camera is installed in the upper center and is comparatively small, so it takes up less space, providing a greater ratio of screen to body.

Battery and Others

Although the S20 FE 4G carries a huge Li-Po 4500 mAh battery, the company only supplied a 15W charger, even for a flagship device, which is somewhat unsatisfactory. The company should have gone for at least a 25 W charger so that the user could charge the phone a little faster. To make sure you can unlock the phone instantly, an ultrasonic scanner under the screen is built into the screen, along with the support for facial unlocking.

Unfortunately, there is no 3.5 mm jack for connecting headphones. Still, there is one good thing that reverse wireless charging 4.5W is given. The price is still unknown, but as we expect it can be around $ 650 (49,000 INR).
