Samsung Galaxy M12 Review
Highlights
- A huge 7000 mAh battery so you don’t have to use a power bank or charger again and again.
- The 13 MP quad-camera setup at the rear along with several modes for your pleasant clicks.
- The energy-efficient Snapdragon processor with the ability to handle your daily tasks with ease.
- The most preferred side-mounted fingerprint reader will be available on this phone.
- The expected starting price for the Samsung Galaxy M12 would be around USD 200 (15,000 INR).
Design and Display
The glossy two-tone finish on the back of the Samsung Galaxy M12 is attractive, but the material used is plastic. The phone is quite bulky for its first appearance, which was expected, as it has a huge battery.
The fingerprint sensor is in a much better position on the side. Now, going to the screen, it has a notch in the shape of a water drop or infinite-U screen, as Samsung calls it, and a slightly thicker, but manageable chin. The 6.7 inches PLS TFT panel offers a very low HD resolution, so the content that we will be watching will not be as clear.
Memory and Internal
Proceeding towards the internals, the Samsung Galaxy M12 reportedly comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor, which will be based on an Octa-core CPU. The phone will be offering two variants – 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of memory and 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of memory. Check out Samsung Galaxy M21s smartphone pros and cons.
Now, talking about the software, the latest Android 11 operating system hopes to arrive with a clean OneUI interface, but Android 10 will arrive inside the phone for sure. Overall, it will offer decent performance, but you can’t expect a high-end gaming experience because of the Adreno 610 chipset. Two nano-sim slots will be offered, along with a dedicated SD slot for expanding memory.
Camera
Samsung Galaxy M12 provided an excellent camera setup considering the price. At the rear, the camera arrangement is square-shaped, consisting of a primary lens of 13 MP, 8 MP Ultrawide, and the macro and depth sensors of 2 MP and 2MP each. The diverse camera mode will provide image enhancement capabilities.
The front camera with 8 MP resolution will be enough for your selfies. The specialty of the Samsung phone also reaches this phone – the camera software integrated into the system. But you cannot expect a high level of experience in the budget segment.
Battery and Others
Samsung has once again raised the bar by providing a huge amount of 7000 mAh battery in its Galaxy M12 smartphone with a suitable 15W charging pad. Not only that, there are several other adjustments present inside the phone’s hood – such as standard level communication sensors and ports to accurately support the device.
