Samsung Galaxy F06 Smartphone Review – The Samsung Galaxy F06 was announced in February 2025 and went on sale a week later. The new phone is available in India only, as of now but should be released globally. However, Samsung has yet to announce the global release officially. With the release of Galaxy F06, Samsung is focusing on delivering a decent design, camera, and battery life, and wants to bring tough competition in the budget smartphone industry.
The Samsung Galaxy F06 comes with a brand-new design, which looks quite exciting. The phone is equally exciting on the inside, thanks to the inclusion of 5G connectivity. Usually, 5G is reserved for phones that cost more than this, but Samsung seriously wants to impress its budget users, so the company included 5G connectivity along with a whole host of other features. So, let’s begin with a detailed review of the Samsung Galaxy F06 and see if this smartphone is worth purchasing.

Design and Display
The design of the Samsung Galaxy F06 is quite refreshing to look at. Usually, low-cost budget models are boring and quite uninteresting but that’s not the case here. The design is quite good, at least from the back due to the use of colorful patterns that look quite good in real life. However, the same cannot be said about the front of the phone due to the waterdrop notch which looks quite dated in 2025. This makes it seem like an old phone, even though it’s not.
However, the construction of the phone is absolutely solid and the phone won’t bend or creak, even under pressure. The Samsung Galaxy F06 features a flat body, which allows for better grip and the phone won’t slip out of your hands easily. The phone is available for purchase in Bahama Blue and Lit Violet colors.
On the front, the Samsung Galaxy F06 features a 6.7-inch PLS display with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. This a color-correct display panel, so watching movies and TV series is better. The display panel can get plenty bright at 800 nits under sunlight, so you won’t have any visibility issues when using the phone outdoors. The lack of a high refresh rate and FHD resolution is disappointing but is acceptable considering the price point.
Memory and Internal
The Samsung Galaxy F06 is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset that can reach clock speeds of up to 2×2.4 GHz. This chipset has an octa-core CPU configuration, so it has enough power to deliver a smooth experience and superior multitasking performance. This level of performance can be seen in the gaming side of things as well.
In fact, the Mali-G57 MC2 graphics chip can easily play games like PUBGm, CODm, and Summoners War with smooth framerates. However, it cannot play Genshin Impact smoothly, which is a graphically demanding game. The Dimensity 6300 is not a gaming chipset and doesn’t have the performance level required to run Genshin Impact smoothly.
This chipset also supports 5G connectivity and delivers lower latency for a better online gaming experience. For memory and storage, the Samsung Galaxy F06 is available for purchase in two configurations: 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB of RAM and internal storage. There’s also support for a microSDXC card for storage expansion and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Samsung Galaxy F06 runs on Android 15 with the One UI Core 7 user interface for better customization support. This is the core version of OneUI, which means some features that are available in more expensive models won’t be found in this phone.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy F06 has a 50MP dual-camera setup. The photos from the primary 50MP sensor look quite decent. These images have a good amount of details with saturated color tones that many people prefer. However, the dynamic range is not on point and there can be a bit of color banding in some scenes, which is acceptable for the price.
The second camera consists of a 2MP depth sensor, which is not very useful. On the front, there’s an 8MP sensor, which can take some great selfies with warm skin tones and natural colors for the background. However, the detail levels are far from the pictures taken from the main rear camera. When it comes to video recording, the rear camera shoots videos at 1080p@60FPS.
On the other hand, the selfie camera shoots videos with average quality, and probably won’t impress many. The selfies are better than the video recording from the front camera. Also, there’s no form of video stabilization from either camera.
Battery and Others
The Samsung Galaxy F06 is powered by a 5000mAh battery, which can easily last about 2 days with light to moderate usage. If you are a heavy user and take a lot of pictures or videos, the battery should still last a full day. However, if you play a lot of games, the battery will last a lot lower and may need a recharge before the day ends.
However, there’s nothing to worry about as the Samsung Galaxy F06 supports 25W wired fast charging, which can fully charge the smartphone in under 2 hours. Apart from that, this phone has support for Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C connector for charging. The smartphone is available for $115 (Rs 9,999 in India) approx.

Conclusion
Samsung brought some real competition with the release of the Galaxy F06. That’s because it’s a fantastic phone for the price it was launched at. Let’s take the design and build quality for example. The phone is extremely well built for the price and features amazing patterns on the rear side of the phone, which is quite attractive.
The display is also color-accurate and gets quite bright when using the phone outdoors, which increases visibility under direct sunlight. The processor is also quite good and can play most games smoothly. The camera performance is also on par or better than other phones in the same price range, depending on the scene.
The battery life and charging speed are exceptional and will run for hours. However, the best part of the phone is 5G connectivity, which is rarely seen in a phone this cheap. The only decent alternative to the Samsung Galaxy F06 is the Motorola Moto G35, which addresses many of its shortcomings, including the lack of FHD display, high refresh rate, and more, for a little higher price tag. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.
