Realme Q2 and Q2 Pro Review

Highlights

  1. Contemporary design is the main aspect of both models, while the screen resolution meets standards.
  2. On the camera plate, a triple port is present on the Q2, and the older brother Q2 Pro receives a quad-camera configuration with the same 16 MP selfie camera.
  3. Processing and performance will be maintained through the integrated 5G Dimensity 800U 5G chipset and will also be combined with the Mali-G57 MC3 graphics card.
  4. The starting price for the second quarter is around $ 190 (about 14,000 INR), while the Pro variant reaches $ 299 (about 21,999 INR).

Design and Display

The stunning intact design on the back panel gives an attractive appearance to the Q2 and Q2 Pro. But, the high-level material used on the Realme Q2 Pro makes the phone more stylish. On the other hand, the slim body is the result of having a smaller battery compared to the younger brother Realme Q2 which equips a light body.

The screen size of 6.5 inches, 120 Hz, IPS LCD comes in Realme Q2 and AMOLED panel of 6.4 inches, the brightness of 600 nits, screen intact in the Pro version. It is obvious that the IPS panel will receive a fingerprint reader on the side, while Super AMOLED will have the normal biometric scanner under the display.

Memory and Internal

Realme Q2 and Q2 Pro smartphone offer a simplistic representation on the home screen with the Realme UI based on Android 10 which provides an exceptional interface feel and allows for fascinating adjustments. Beneath the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G chipset is placed alongside the Mali-G57 MC3 graphics and the octa-core unit to deliver impressive performance along with 5G connectivity.

Realme Q2 offers 128 GB of internal storage paired with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. In addition, Realme Q2 Pro features an impressive 8 GB of RAM along with 128 GB and 256 GB storage options. However, Q2 Pro had no choice of secondary storage, which may not be the case, as this variant adds ample space to the internal partition.

Camera

Both have a squirrel plate and, underneath it, have the respective configurations of triple and quad cameras. The Realme Q2 has a primary lens of 48 MP, ultrawide 8 MP, and macro of 2 MP that supports video recording of up to 4K at regular fps with EIS swivel settings.

The Realme Q2 Pro, on the other hand, is an add-on of a 2MP depth lens included on the camera plate, and the rest is the same as the non-Pro variant. The 16 MP punch hole camera is installed on the screen of the Realme Q2 and the Q2 Pro, check out the Realme 7 Global and Asia smartphone review.

Battery and Others

The Realme Q2 has a Li-Po 5000 mAh battery with a 30W fast charging and the Q2 Pro equips a significantly smaller Li-Po 4300 mAh battery, but offers a 65W fast charging. Even though the Q2 does not have a higher fast charge than the Q2 Pro, 30W is subtle for ordinary users.

The sensors also provide state-of-the-art performance in their respective domains and enhance a premium feel at a high level. In addition, there are vivid color options to choose from, as the Realme Q2 arrives in blue and violet. As for the Q2 Pro, it appears to sport rainbow and white.
