Realme GT 7 Pro Smartphone Review – The Realme GT 7 Pro was announced in November 2024 in China and went on sale the same day. The new smartphone has made it out of China and is heading for a global release. On November 26, 2024, it will launch in India, followed closely by other countries. This phone is designed to be the best gaming phone out there, so it has some of the most powerful internal components and fast 5G connectivity.
When it comes to the looks, the Realme GT 7 Pro looks quite similar to Xiaomi 15, which also launched a few weeks back. Realme is betting on the performance of the smartphone being the unique selling point of this phone. How true that is remains to be seen, but from the hardware POV, this smartphone does seem to be targetting hardcore gamers. Design and Display
The Realme GT 7 Pro features a gorgeous design that is similar to the Xiaomi 15, especially when looking from the rear side. The side and mid-frame are made of Aluminum, while the rear is made of glass. The phone is available in three special colors: Mars Orange, Galaxy Grey, and White. Combine all that, and you get a phone that not only looks premium but also feels really great in hand.
The design is overall flat with chamfered edges, which delivers a comfortable and handy grip. The entire smartphone is protected with an IP68/69 dust and water resistance rating. On the front, you get a 6.78-inches LTPO AMOLED display with support for 120Hz high refresh rate, which will provide a smooth user interface.
This panel comes with a 1.5K resolution, which is capable of displaying up to 1 billion colors, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, which has superior picture quality. However, there’s hardly any Dolby Vision content, but the phone does support it. The display can reach as high as 6500 nits peak brightness under direct sunlight, so you won’t find any issues when using the phone outdoors. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Memory and Internal
The Realme GT 7 Pro is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 5G chipset, which is capable of reaching a clock speed of 2×4.32 GHz. This is the fastest Android chipset, even faster than Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It can reach 4.32GHz, which is absurdly high for a mobile chip, so it can run anything you throw at it.
The same is true for its Adreno GPU as well. In fact, the Adreno 830 graphics chip can easily run any games you throw at it, PUBGm, Summoners War, CODm, and Genshin Impact with High graphical settings at the highest framerate. This phone also has 5G connectivity, which delivers gigabit-level speeds and makes low-latency gaming possible.
It also comes with Android 15 out of the box, along with the Realme UI 6.0 user interface for better customization support. As for memory and storage, the Realme GT 7 Pro is available for purchase with 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB of RAM and fast UFS 4.0 internal storage.
Camera
The Realme GT 7 Pro features a 50MP triple rear camera setup. The primary 50MP rear camera comes with OIS support and can capture some great shots with high detail levels and saturated colors. The second camera in this smartphone is an 8MP ultra-wide camera, which takes some average-looking photos. The detail levels and color tone of this camera are not quite comparable to the main camera of this smartphone.
The third camera has a 50MP sensor, which can capture pictures at 3x optical zoom levels. The performance of this camera is actually impressive and comes close to the level of detail seen in the main camera. This triple-camera setup is great. However, other flagship smartphones have slightly better performance, but they also cost a lot more.
The Realme GT 7 Pro supports night mode as well, which delivers some great stellar night photography, thanks to its fantastic algorithm and OIS. On the front, the phone has a 16MP selfie sensor, which can capture some pretty good selfies with natural colors, a good amount of details, and skin tone.
When it comes to video recording, the rear cameras can shoot videos at up to 8K@24FPS, but the selfie camera can only at up to 1080p@60FPS. The videos shot from the rear camera are also quite stable, thanks to OIS and gyro-EIS. However, the same can’t be said for the selfie camera as there’s no OIS or gyro-EIS.
Battery and Others
The Realme GT 7 Pro is equipped with a 6500mAh Silicon Carbide battery. This battery composition has allowed Realme to pack in a much larger capacity battery, which should provide at least 2 – 3 days’ worth of battery life with light to medium usage that includes using the camera, music, texting, and a bit of social media. However, the battery will drain a lot faster and won’t last a full day if you play a lot of games.
For charging, the phone has support for up to 120W wired super-fast charging, which can fully charge the smartphone in between 30 to 37 minutes. Apart from that, the smartphone has support for tri-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, an under-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, NFC, Infrared sensor, and a USB Type-C connector for charging. The smartphone will start at $880 (Rs 59,998 in India) approx.

Conclusion
The Realme GT 7 Pro is designed to provide a flagship-level experience at a much lower price tag comparatively, and it certainly achieves that. Every aspect of this smartphone features a flagship-level component, whether that’s the display, performance, camera, or battery. The display features a fantastic panel and has some of the most advanced technologies.
The design is also quite elegant, and the phone is made of premium materials, metal and glass. The colors are also quite attractive. The gaming performance is absolutely incredible, and you will have no issues running the most graphically demanding games on this phone. It even has 5G connectivity, which delivers better 5G quality and decreases the latency in online multiplayer games. This level of flagship quality is also seen in the camera, battery, and charging.
The best part of the Realme GT 7 Pro is its pricing, which is just incredible, and gamers will absolutely love it. The best alternative to this smartphone is the OnePlus 12R, which is still not comparable to the Realme GT 7 Pro in either gaming performance or other aspects of the phone. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your needs and requirements.
