Realme 16 Pro

Realme 16 Pro Specifications

Realme launched the Realme 16 Pro on January 6, 2026, and it hit the market just two days later. It is a slim and modern phone with a 7.8 mm thickness, weighing 192g, and offered in both regular plastic and eco-friendly silicone polymer (eco leather) backs. It also achieves IP68/IP69K rating, so water, dust, and even high-pressure jets are not an issue, making it more rugged than most slim mid-range phones. On the front sits a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 1B colors, and high PWM for comfort. The panel pushes 1272 x 2772 pixels at ~450 ppi with 6500 nits peak brightness, making outdoor use effortless. AGC DT Star D+ protection is used instead of Gorilla Glass. Realme ships it with Android 16, Realme UI 7.0, and promises 3 major updates.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max (4nm) chipset with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. It performs well for its class and handles gaming and multitasking with ease thanks to up to 12GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, though there is no microSD slot. The camera setup is led by a 200MP main sensor with OIS, dual-pixel autofocus, and 4K video. It is joined by an 8MP ultrawide camera. The selfie shooter is a surprisingly sharp 50MP unit with 4K recording as well. Stereo speakers are included, but the 3.5mm jack is gone. Connectivity is strong with Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC (varies by market), infrared port, and 5G support.

Battery life is one of the standout features thanks to a 7000 mAh Li-Ion pack, making it ideal for heavy users. Charging is also flexible with 80W wired, 55W PPS, PD2.0, BC1.2, and even reverse wired and bypass charging options, which is rare at this price. The phone is sold in Gold, Pebble Grey, and Orchid Purple, and starts at around $373 (Rs 33,699 in India), putting it firmly in the competitive upper mid-range segment. Overall, the Realme 16 Pro offers a mix of premium display specs, long battery life, and a high-resolution main camera, making it a strong choice for media consumption, content creation, and all-day usage.
