Both smartphones are only available in China for the moment but will soon go on sale globally like other Oppo phones. However, there can be some tiny changes to the specs for the global models.

Design and Display
The Oppo Reno 13 and 13 Pro’s design looks similar to its predecessor, which is not a bad thing but a change would have been nice. However, we are not going to complain since Oppo upgraded the build quality of both phones significantly. The plastic build is gone and is replaced with Aluminum, which improves the strength and rigidity of the phone. The rear panel is made of glass. This metal and glass combo gives a very premium user experience.
The two phones feature a flat design, which improves the grip. All in all, it’s a fantastic phone in terms of build quality and the design isn’t bad either. It’s available in Black, Purple, and Blue colors, while the pro version has additional pink color variants. As for the display, the Oppo Reno 13 has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, while the Oppo Reno 13 Pro has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display. Both displays feature a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1 billion colors, which delivers a superior viewing experience.
Also, the two displays are capable of reaching a peak brightness of up to 1200 nits under direct sunlight. Both smartphones are also protected against damage from dust and water since they have IP68/69 certifications. However, there’s no mention of protections for display, so users should buy a decent tempered glass if they decide to get either one of the two phones here.
Memory and Internal
Both Oppo Reno 13 and 13 Pro feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 5G flagship chipset, which is capable of reaching clock speeds of up to 1×3.35 GHz. The higher clock speed allows this processor to boost its performance in every aspect of the phone. Everything from swiping between apps to running two apps on a split screen feels quite smoother and more responsive than ever.
Even gaming is a lot better with this chipset. Games such as PUBG, CODm, Genshin Impact, and more will run at high framerates, which will certainly elevate your gaming experience. The two phones also have 5G connectivity, which will allow you to download things at gigabit speeds and low latency.
As for the OS, both the Oppo Reno 13 and 13 Pro are running on the latest Android 15 out-of-the-box with a ColorOS 15 user interface for more customization options. When it comes to RAM and storage, the Oppo Reno 13 has 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB of RAM and internal storage. The Oppo Reno 13 Pro has 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB of RAM and internal storage.
Camera
The Oppo Reno 13 features a 50MP dual rear camera system, while the Oppo Reno 13 Pro features a 50MP triple rear camera system. The difference between the camera system of the two phones is that the latter has an extra telephoto camera but the other two cameras are just the same. The 50MP primary camera of the two phones is the same and can take some good pictures with great detail levels, accurate color tones, and perfect white balance.
The second camera is the ultra-wide lens, which has an 8MP sensor and is capable of capturing some decent pictures with a 115° field of view. The picture quality and the level of detail are nowhere near the quality of the main camera but aren’t quite bad either. The Oppo Reno 13 Pro has another camera with a 50 MP telephoto lens, which can capture pictures with 3.5x optical zoom. The image quality of the pictures coming from this sensor is quite good, and they have a lot of details in them with a natural color tone.
When it comes to the selfie camera, the two phones have the same 50MP selfie sensor. It is capable of taking some fantastic selfies, which have great detail levels with natural color tones. As for video recording, both the Oppo Reno 13 and 13 Pro can record videos at up to 4K@60FPS from both the rear and selfie cameras. The rear cameras of both Oppo Reno 13 and Oppo Reno 13 Pro have both OIS and gyro-EIS, and they allow you to shoot videos with more stability. However, the selfie camera only has gyro-EIS, so the videos shot from this camera are not as stable as the rear cameras.
Battery and Others
The Oppo Reno 13 has a 5600mAh battery, while the Oppo Reno 13 Pro has a 5800mAh battery. The batteries of both phones are capable of providing 1 – 3 days’ worth of battery life with light usage. However, if you play a lot of video games, neither smartphone can last the entire day. However, both smartphones support fast charging, so there’s nothing to worry about.
The Oppo Reno 13 and Oppo Reno 13 Pro have support for 80W wired fast charging, which can fully charge the battery in under 50 minutes. The Reno 13 Pro also supports 50W wireless fast charging, which can fully charge the phone in under 1 hour and a half. Conclusion
Oppo Reno 13 and 13 Pro have received some solid upgrades compared to its predecessor, which makes them a great choice for older Oppo Reno phone owners as well as for users who just want a new phone. The new smartphones provide a satisfactory experience in every aspect.
The displays of both phones are quite impressive in terms of picture quality and clarity. The performance is also quite fabulous. It’s not as fast as the flagship chipsets but is faster than most mid-range and high-end chips. The camera performance of the two phones is also quite satisfactory. They won’t come anywhere close to the performance of the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series but they are more than good enough.
The battery life and charging speed are even more impressive than anything else on the two phones. The Oppo Reno 13 Pro also includes support for an actual wireless fast charging, which is just cherry on top. Considering everything the Oppo Reno 13 and 13 Pro deliver, their pricing is justified. The best alternative phones to these two would be the Xiaomi Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro. They sport similar specs but with even faster chipsets while costing slightly less. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.
