Oppo A33 (2020) Review, Pros and Cons – After dispatching the Oppo A53 in India on something new in fashion, a mid-ranger type device, Oppo is moving forward with yet another decent smartphone launch known as the Oppo A33 (2020). Besides that, it has to be said that it comes with specifications almost identical to the A53 (2020), although, there is no word on being renamed by the manufacturers, in the eyes of technology enthusiasts, it is a revamped version of the A53.
The issue here is not the naming of smartphones, but the market. The Oppo A33 (2020) hits the Indonesian market at just $ 150 (10,999 INR), which is amazing.

Oppo A33 (2020) Review
Highlights
- The color scheme offers unique features of simple design, and the high screen displays provide a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
- It also features the Snapdragon 460 chipset on the board with additional features from the Adreno 610.
- In terms of the camera, a triple camera on the rectangular panel attaches to a standard 8MP selfie port.
- As for the battery, a huge 5000 mAh battery is paired with 18W charging.
Design and Display
The layout may not look as fabulous as the conventional ones, but the glossy plastic frame improves appearance with a fingerprint reader well positioned close to the camera. Other than that, the front panel bezels are slightly thick at the corners and on the sides.
Including this, the 6.5 inches HD+ flat-resolution LCD IPS technology supports a 90 Hz refresh rate out of the box, which is quite unusual for basic smartphones. Still, it is nice to see that Oppo is trying something innovative from others in the market.
Memory and Internal
Software suites are managed by configuring Android 10 based on the ColorsOS 7.2 interface skin which improves the overall interface configuration and provides settings and features suitable for wonderful user experience.
On the other hand, the hardware of the Snapdragon 460 chipset is intact in the Oppo A33 (2020) with Adreno 610 graphics units and octa-core processors. A clock speed of 1.8 GHz on the board and powered by 2/3 GB of RAM. A 32 GB internal storage appears inside the phone, in addition, you can add up to 256 GB of space via dedicated microSD.
Camera
A triple camera places on the rectangular plate on the rear panel which has 13 MP as the main snapper and the traditional 2 MP depth and macro pair to provide more technical support. Now, speaking of the front panel, an 8 MP appears as the front camera, which produces video recording quality up to 1080p.
Battery and Others
A charge of 18 W is provided on the phone to supply the 5000 mAh battery, and a single charge can last for almost two days in moderate use. However, on the contrary, it takes more than two hours to fill the cells.
On the other hand, you will normally see mediocre sensor and communication specifications, but the Oppo A33 (2020) is a different story, as there are first-rate specifications in the respective department. In addition, it also includes the user’s favorite 3.5mm jack with support for stereo speakers.
