Design and Display

Unlike the other phones of the OnePlus, the Nord N20 appears with a pretty new and refreshing design layout. Although, it’s not the first time that we have seen a flat edge backup in which the camera module is popping out. The trend is started by the Apple phones, despite this, there’s no denying that the device looks premium on the first impression.

Although, you aren’t getting various shade options in this phone and the choice is narrowed down to the Blue color. Hopefully, the overall build quality looks attractive, while the most impressive part of the back panel would be the ring-shaped camera module. Alongside this, the lightweight and slim body factor give an additional edge over the competition.

Yet, the back panel doesn’t look like it’s plastic, but it is more like a matte finish metal back panel and frame. On the other hand, you won’t notice many bezels from the 6.43 inches AMOLED with 409-pixel density. Although it may don’t have a higher refresh rate or brightness nits, still the colors and contrast rendering of the screen are superb according to your daily need.

But the most shocking fact we found during the performance review is that it resembles the Oppo Reno7 Z performance stats. We thought it occur due to the same chipset, but eventually, find out that OnePlus Nord N20 is a rebranded version of the Reno7 Z.

They have almost identical specifications and features. Yet, the key difference is that they serve in different markets. Anyway, let’s get back to the main topic. The Nord N20 is offering a 128GB internal space which will club alongside 6GB RAM. On top of that, the UFS 2.2 memory type will boost overall performance and give a dedicated SD card slot to expand the storage capacity.

Camera

The camera quality is improved from the predecessor phone, especially in the lowlight photography part. You will notice fine details in each shot, while the daily photos with the 64MP primary lens. With this, you won’t notice any issue while taking images outdoors, while at the same time, the image processing unit gives decent results.

Moving to the secondary camera setup, there are 2MP depth and 2MP macro lenses that improve the overall quality of the portraits and close-up shots without much hassle. The camera result from the 16MP selfie lens are appealing and don’t downgrade the image quality. Although, the edge detection feels slightly underwhelming in the selfie camera portrait mode.

Anyway, the native camera is loaded with different modes and filters from which you can capture your life moment precisely.
