Design and Display
The Motorola Moto G35 follows the same design language as its predecessor, Motorola Moto G35, but features new colors. It is available in Leaf Green, Guava Red, Midnight Black, and Sage Green. It has a flat body, which is solid in build quality and feels decent in hand. This is thanks to the new eco-leather design in the back, which is not only soft to the touch but also looks great. The Motorola Moto G35 features a water-repellent design, so it should be well-protected against water splashes.
The display on the front also has minimum bezels but the same can’t be said about the chin. The bezel in the chin is considerably thick but that’s a compromise you must accept in a budget smartphone like this one. Speaking of bezels and display, you get a 6.72-inch panel with a 120Hz high refresh rate for better user experience.
This panel features an FHD+ resolution with support for HDR10+, so watching movies on it will be an enjoyable experience. It can also get as bright as 1000 nits peak brightness under direct sunlight, so using the smartphone outdoors won’t be an issue. The display is also protected with Gorilla Glass 3.
Memory and Internal
Motorola equipped the Motorola Moto G35 with Unisoc T760 5G chipset, which is capable of reaching a clock speed of 1×2.2 GHz. This clock speed along with the octa-core CPU configuration allows it to browse the web, run multiple apps, or play games decently. Speaking of gaming, the Mali-G57 GPU can run games, such as PUBGm, Summoners War, and CODm at average framerates.
The large size of the phone will ensure that the heat from the chipset spreads evenly, which will prevent it from overheating. The Motorola Moto G35 also comes with Android 14 with a stock user interface for a better experience. It also has support for 5G connectivity, which will decrease latency during multiplayer gaming sessions and provide higher download speeds. For memory and storage, the Motorola Moto G35 is available for purchase with up to 4GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of fast internal storage. The storage can also be expanded later with the microSDXC slot.
Camera
The Motorola Moto G35 features a 50MP rear camera setup. The primary rear camera consists of a 50MP sensor, which is properly optimized to capture more photons than usual, so it is capable of taking some good shots with high detail levels and saturated colors. However, this is still a budget phone, so keep your expectations in control.
The pictures from the secondary 8MP ultra-wide camera are just average but the picture quality is good enough for posting on social media platforms. On the front, the smartphone has a 16MP selfie camera, which is optimized to capture great selfies with a natural color tone. When it comes to video recording, the rear camera can shoot videos at 4K@30FPS while the selfie camera can shoot at a maximum resolution of 1080P@30FPS. However, there’s no stabilization of any kind.
Battery and Others
The Motorola Moto G35 has a high-capacity 5000mAh battery that can keep this smartphone running for at least 1 – 2 days with light to medium usage that includes camera, music, texting, and a bit of social media. However, if you are a heavy user or play a lot of games, the battery will drain faster and won’t last a full day.
Also, using 5G to download movies will drain the battery faster, but you will be glad to know that the smartphone has support for 18W wired fast charging. It can fully charge the smartphone in just 2 hours. Apart from that, the smartphone has support for dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and a USB Type-C connector for charging. The smartphone will start at $202 (Rs 16,999 in India) approx.

Conclusion
The Motorola Moto G35 has everything it needs to be a fantastic budget smartphone. It features a modern flat design with eco-leather on the back, which provides a premium touch. The phone also has a great display that will not disappoint in terms of picture quality and outdoor brightness. The camera is also quite capable and so is the battery. The Motorola Moto G35 even has 5G technology, which is better for online gaming.
On top of all that, the phone has Glass protection for the display. However, the pricing is a bit high, and other phones in the same price range offer better chipsets and faster charging. The chipset is the weakest part of the smartphone and gamers wouldn’t like it.
A decent alternative to this smartphone would be the Vivo iQOO Z9s, which costs a bit more but comes with a much better display, chipset, and faster charging speeds. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your needs and requirements.
