Motorola E7 Plus

Motorola Moto E7 Plus Review, Pros and Cons – Motorola, the Lenovo-owned brand, has been famous in recent years for bringing smartphones that are quite expensive in terms of the specifications provided. Due to this error, it gradually began to lose its customer base, but they have not yet given up hope.

With that in mind, Motorola introduced a low-cost Moto E7 Plus phone that has some good points and also negative points if we discuss its market value. With a very simple design and construction, it is more suitable for those looking for a phone just for normal day-to-day tasks. Let’s start the detailed specifications review of the Moto E7 Plus phone.

Motorola Moto E7 Plus Review

Highlights

  1. The huge Li-Po 5000mAh battery is paired with a standard 10W charger.
  2. The Moto E7 Plus is equipped with an 11nm Snapdragon 460 mid-range processor with 50% improved performance.
  3. A large 6.5 inches HD+ display would easily provide an amazing movie or game experience.
  4. A unique thing about the Moto E7 Plus is the dedicated Google Assistant key to activate.
  5. A 48MP with 2MP camera is supposed to help camera enthusiasts to take decent pictures.

Design and Display

The Moto E7 Plus showcases new looks and enhancements while being marketed in two beautiful colors, navy blue and amber bronze which is attracting buyers of low-cost phones. Although the device has a plastic back panel, it is robust and will not crease or wobble, so you are safe even if you accidentally fall. Check Moto G9 Plus smartphone advantages and disadvantages.

In addition, the gradient matte finish helps to easily capture fingerprints when using the phone. A squirrel-shaped camera module dominates the rear design, comprising two camera sensors next to an LED flash.

Moving on to the front section, Motorola incorporated a 6.5 inches 720p IPS LCD display that is very common in the price range of almost Rs 10,000. The small notch selfie camera is in the shape of a drop of water on the top and, at the same time, increases the ratio between the screen and the body. The company disappoints us, as we don’t see a screen protector in case of accidental drops and it also leaves the phone vulnerable to scratches.

Memory and Internal

Let’s turn our attention to the performance section, Motorola introduced a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset that they claim is equivalent to the Snapdragon 636. After knowing this, we can be sure about the remarkable performance and decent gaming experience, although we cannot cope with PUBG though.

Under the hood, the standard UI running on Android 10 makes the performance more smooth and responsive. It’s completely free of clutter and bloatware, so we don’t have to worry, unlike custom skins. There are other additional features like Moto Actions, Moto Display, lift to unlock, etc.

Now, if we dive into the memory department, in fact, Motorola has chosen to go with just a single variant of the Moto E7 Plus. We cannot criticize here, since it provided what is normally needed a 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which we undoubtedly will be enough memory for a normal user. Motorola knows what you basically need is an SD cardholder to store all your important documents, videos, and more.

Camera

With cameras, however, the main sensor is a 48 MP snapper that, combined with a 2 MP depth sensor, has enough resources to capture some wonderful photos with bouncing colors, good dynamic range, better sharpness, and lastly, provided Night Vision for low light conditions works sort of on average. Other software features are RAW imaging, changing background for portraits, 1080p recording, etc.

As for selfies, we were provided with an 8MP lens installed inside a waterdrop notch that seems to take somewhat smooth selfies with less detail. Still, it is what we can expect from this phone. In addition, it also facilitates the use of facial unlock if you do not want to use the fingerprint reader.

Battery and Others

The Moto E7 Plus gets all its energy from a 5000mAh Li-Po battery source. But a disappointing thing is the 10W charger which would possibly take almost 3 hours to fill the entire battery and this can be a very bad user experience. In addition, a hybrid SIM slot is again a downside when other brands are offering dual SIM support with an additional SD card slot.

To unlock the phone, a fingerprint reader is placed on the back which works very fast and is very secure. Again, it is very strange to have a micro USB port in the third quarter of 2020. The device is already on sale for a price of $ 174 (Rs 12,999 INR) in India. Although in European countries the price may go up a bit.
