Huawei Pura X

Compare Huawei Pura X vs ZTE Nubia Flip 2 – The Huawei Pura X and ZTE Nubia Flip 2 are two foldable smartphones released in 2025, each with its own focus. Both phones share several similarities as modern foldable smartphones, including their compact foldable designs with cover displays, similar weight, support 5G connectivity and feature aluminum frames.

Display: The ZTE Nubia Flip 2 boasts a tall 6.9-inch OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1200 nits, ideal for immersive viewing. However, the Huawei Pura X, despite having a smaller 6.3-inch LTPO2 OLED screen, stands out with its superior 2500 nits brightness and HDR Vivid support. Huawei also includes a sharper 3.5-inch secondary display in Pura X versus Nubia Flip 2 with a 3-inch cover screen. Build-wise, the Pura X is a step above with an IPX8 water resistance rating, whereas the Nubia Flip 2 only offers basic splash protection.

In terms of display quality and durability, Huawei Pura X takes the lead.

Chipset: Performance-wise, the Huawei Pura X is powered by the flagship-grade Kirin 9020 chip, offering excellent CPU up to 1×2.5 GHz octa core speed. It also supports up to 16GB RAM and a massive 1TB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Nubia Flip 2 runs on the Mediatek Dimensity 7300X with CPU up to 4×2.5 GHz octa core speed, which makes it a solid but mid-tier chipset, with support for up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. ZTE nubia Flip 2 chipset provides a much stronger performance profile due to its quad-core configuration, which will outperform the single high-performance core of the Huawei Pura X chipset in most real-world scenarios.

ZTE Nubia Flip 2 should deliver noticeably better performance.

Camera: When we look at the camera systems, Huawei clearly pulls ahead with its quad-lens rear setup: a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, a 40MP ultrawide, and a 1.5MP multispectral sensor for enhanced detail and color accuracy. It also supports 4K video recording, OIS, laser autofocus, and HDR Vivid. In contrast, the Nubia Flip 2 includes just a 50MP wide and a 2MP depth sensor, backed by a 32MP selfie camera compared to the Huawei Pura X 10.7 MP camera.

Huawei Pura X takes the win with its more versatile and flagship-grade camera setup.

Battery: Battery life is also in Huawei’s favour. It packs a 4720mAh cell that supports 66W wired charging, 40W wireless charging, 7.5W reverse wireless and 5W reverse wired charging. On the other hand, the Nubia Flip 2 features a smaller 4325mAh battery and only supports 33W wired charging.

Huawei Pura X clearly offers better battery technology.

Price: In terms of pricing, the Huawei Pura X comes in at $1,135 (₹98,990), undercutting the ZTE Nubia Flip 2, which is priced at $1,261 (₹1,09,999).

Huawei Pura X is more value-for-money given its higher-end features at a lower price.

Overall, the Huawei Pura X stands out in almost every area. It has a brighter and stronger display. The camera setup is more advanced with better features. Battery life and charging speed are also better. Despite offering more, it is priced lower than the ZTE Nubia Flip 2. This makes the Pura X the smarter choice between the two foldables.
