Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max Specifications
The Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max is expected to launch in May 2026, and it is clearly aiming for the premium crowd. The phone is quite large and a bit heavy, 164mm tall and weighing about 230 grams, so it feels solid in the hand. It uses a glass front and back with an aluminum frame. Good news for clumsy folks, it has an IP68/IP69 rating, which means it is not only dust-tight but can also survive high-pressure water jets and being submerged in up to 2 meters of water for 30 minutes. You also get a lot of SIM flexibility two physical Nano-SIMs plus two eSIMs, though only two can be active at once. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is easy to reach, and there is even an infrared port for controlling TVs or AC units.
The 6.9-inch LTPO OLED screen is stunning, with 1 billion colors, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and very high resolution (1308 x 2880 pixels). It also has an anti-reflective coating, so using it outside should be much less annoying. Under the hood, it runs HarmonyOS 6.1 with Huawei’s own Kirin 9030S chipset. The camera setup is wild, with a 200MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, a 50MP main wide camera with a cool adjustable, and a 40MP ultrawide. That means you can zoom in far, shoot in low light, or capture wide group photos easily. Video recording goes up to 4K with good stabilization, and the 13MP selfie camera also shoots 4K video.
The phone packs a huge 6000 mAh battery, which should easily last a day and a half even with heavy use. Charging is super fast, 100W wired and 80W wireless. You can even charge other devices wirelessly from this phone (reverse wireless) or via a cable at 18W. Storage options go up to 1TB with 16GB of RAM. One thing to note there is no 3.5mm headphone jack, but you get Bluetooth 6.0 and excellent Wi-Fi 7 support. Also, BDS Satellite Calling and Messaging is available, but only in China. The phone comes in five colors (Black, Gold, Green, Orange, Purple) and pricing is expected to be around $1061 (Rs 99,900 in India) approximately, which is quite competitive for a phone with these high-end features.
