The Honor Magic V3 is the new foldable smartphone announced in July 2024 with a price tag of $1270 (Rs 1,05,999 in India) approx. The smartphone comes with Android 14 OS out of the box with MagicOS 8.0.1 for better customization support. The chipset powering the new Honor Magic V3 is the 4nm Qualcomm SM8650-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor clocked at 1×3.3GHz. The new Honor Magic V3 comes with up to 12GB/16GB of RAM & 256GB/512GB/ 1TB of internal storage, while there’s no secondary card slot. 

The Honor Magic V3 has a triple camera setup in the back, consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x zoom capabilities with OIS support. This is a 20MP selfie sensor and the same 20MP cover selfie camera that can take some great selfies with a good amount of detail. When it comes to video recording, the rear cameras can shoot up to 4K@30/60FPS at 10-bit and the footage is stabilized with OIS, HDR10+, and gyro-EIS. While the selfie camera can only shoot videos at a maximum of 4K@30FPS with gyro-EIS.

The Honor Magic V3 has a Si/C 5150 mAh battery, which can provide a full day’s worth of battery, even with medium to heavy usage that includes a bit of photography, video streaming, and gaming. Even if the smartphone does run out of battery, the 66W wired charger will quickly recharge, not to forget, there’s also support for 50W wireless and 5W reverse wired charging as well. The foldable phone comes in Velvet Black, Snow, Tundra Green, and Red color options.

The Honor Magic V3 smartphone has a dual-screen, the foldable screen is tall 7.92 inches LTPO OLED, while the cover screen size is 6.43 inches LTPO OLED display. Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1B colors support. The foldable screen is protected by King Kong Rhinoceros and the phone has an IPX8 water resistance. As for brightness, the foldable screen has an 1800 nits high brightness rating while the cover screen has 2500 nits brightness, also the cover screen has nanocrystal glass 2.0 protection.
