HarmonyOS

HarmonyOS 2.0: Everything you need to know – HarmonyOS is one of the operating systems developed by Huawei and launched in August 2019. This operating system is designed for smartphones, Smart TVs, smartwatches, etc.

Following Google’s ban, Huawei planned to develop its own operating system so that it would not depend on any other company to operate its smartphones. Therefore, the Chinese company gave rise to HarmonyOS, which works not only on cell phones but also on several other IoT devices.

Harmony OS has been in development for a long time and, for now, the release process for the 2nd generation of HarmonyOS, which is called HarmonyOS 2.0 should be released soon for smartphones. Huawei has already given the go-ahead for using the Harmony OS 2.0 SDK, but there is a problem that it remains restricted to smartwatches, smart TVs, and other devices.

A schedule is presented by the company that determines the exact time when a given device gains access to its update. We should pat Huawei, as it guarantees the launch of HarmonyOS 2.0 for almost 200 million devices. In addition, it is quite appreciable that Huawei is not losing its older devices, unlike some companies.

We must not forget to mention that Huawei is taking this versatile operating system to the next level, manufacturing dedicated processors that will basically be optimized and adapted for HarmonyOS 2.0.

In addition to the list above, there are more devices that we cannot mention here, as the list is quite long. One of the advantages of using HarmonyOS is its support even for Android applications. In short, with this new operating system, Huawei hopes to gain its position in the smartphone industry, which is lost due to Google’s ban.
