Google Pixel Foldable phone may launch at the end of this year or the early next year – A well-known informant, Jon Prosser, said the Google Pixel foldable smartphone could be launched in late 2021. The previous report stated that the company is making a phone called “Passport”.
Google with its Android phones supports foldable smartphones, including different standards. The foldable devices use a similar operating system such as Samsung Galaxy Fold Z Fold 2 or Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and this new initiative from Google looks interesting.
Jon Prosser also said the phone could be launched later this year or early next year. Therefore, there is still no exact release date. The previous report tells us that the phone will be released in the fourth quarter of 2021.
According to the same report, the Android internal document shares a list of all Pixels released publicly from Pixel 2 to Pixel 5 and some unannounced ones, including the code name of the “Passport” phone that is there.
The rumor that Google would make a foldable smartphone has been in the news since 2019. Google executive, Mario Queiroz, said the company is preparing a foldable display. According to the patent filed by the company, a foldable smartphone has a prototype design. Google’s new foldable display can be folded in, but official confirmation of the development has yet to be released.
Jon Prosser also talked about Apple’s foldable iPhone as the foldable shell iPhone. It also has a similar design to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphone. The phone is expected to launch its first foldable iPhone in 2022 or 2023, according to his words.
