Google Pixel 7

Google Pixel 7 Smartphone Review – There’s no denying that the Google Pixel smartphone is improving each consecutive year, while photography is known as the best. But their in-house chipset is further improving the overall performance of the phone to a new level. Undoubtedly, the first gen Tensor chipset was slightly underwhelming and don’t able to leave any mark in the flagship range. But this time, the company has optimized the overall performance end, which is visible in the new Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.

The Google Pixel 7 smartphone might not have those exceptional flagship features as its Pro variant. But the company is rendering the most necessary features, while at the same time, cutting down the price to an extent to attract more buyers. Usually, the mainstream brand makes their non-Pro models slightly downgrade. But we don’t find those things in these Pixel phones. Let’s head toward the Google Pixel 7 review to find out more details about this phone.

Google Pixel 7 Smartphone Review

  2. As for the software experience, you are getting the Android 13 interface that will grant lots of new and unique perks.
  3. The Google Tensor G2 chipset will handle performance and gaming sessions pretty well.

  5. In terms of battery life, the Li-Ion 4355 mAh battery will provide sufficient screen time, while it refuels via a 20W charger.

Design and Display

Design-wise, the Google Pixel 7 smartphone comes with a premium design layout that will come with a strip-like camera module, which is wrapped around the top of the back panel. It looks classic and impressive to some extent, while the company makes sure that users can choose this device in various shade options. The list includes Obsidian, Lemongrass, and Snow. All of them look pretty decent.

On the other hand, the phone gives a slim design with a compact build 6.3-inch AMOLED panel. It’s not like the LTPO AMOLED screen as the Pro variant, which provides auto Refresh rate mode. Here, the phone can goes up to a 90Hz refresh rate for decent usage, while the company also provides Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with Always On Display features on top. Furthermore, you can watch content at HDR10+ quality.

The front and back panel got Corning Gorilla glass coating, which might smudge when you are holding it. So we suggest you put the cover on the Google Pixel 7 smartphone. The flat screen has thin bezels with a dot-notch display and an under-display fingerprint reader with a Face ID security feature onboard. With this, you don’t have to worry about phone security and do your work without any hassle.

Memory and Internal

The software end of the Google Pixel 7 smartphone is one of the wildest experiences as it brings various customization perks that you might not find in the current Android ecosystem yet. You are getting the newest Android 13 custom skin with lots of unique features that will make the interface robust while you can conveniently use the interface. Moreover, you won’t get bloatware apps inside the Android firmware.

As for the hardware end, the company makes sure the user obtains enough performance that will support them thoroughly during their daily activities. The new 5nm Google Tensor G2 chipset brings decent performance power so that you can effortlessly play your favorite games. But still, it’s not a gaming-centric phone, so you will face some bottlenecks while playing advanced games. However, the processing speed will go up to a 2×2.85GHz cloaking speed.

With that much power, you won’t face any particular concerns with multitasking, while a 90Hz refresh rate improves the user experience. Aside from this, you can choose between 128GB to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal space that 8GB RAM will accompany. Both of them are more than sufficient, even if you are heavy users who want lots of space to store your multimedia data.

Camera

The camera module brings impressive results in the daylight with decent and natural colors. Plus, the lowlight photos would barely have any noise issues thanks to the advanced night mode software. Though it will take a few seconds to process the entire image, you will find sharp contrast with proper exposure in the darks. The 50MP primary lens provides immersive results with good camera tech.

On the same note, the phone also houses a 12MP ultra-wide lens that captures mesmerizing details, and even after pixel peeping, the photos are looking flawless thanks to better zooming abilities. Furthermore, the dynamic range is improved at a very decent level. Following this, the portrait results are also looking appealing and crips with improvised edge detection software. As for the front camera result, they are also fabulous with 10.8MP sensor support.

The lively colors with numerous tweaks are available in the native camera app, you can click on the best moment of your life without any issues. Plus, you are getting 4K video recording options, but they are not crisp as other flagship smartphones. Anyway, the video stabilization is not that bad, but it could have been better. Battery and Others

The battery section is slightly disappointing as you are getting a Li-Ion 4355 mAh battery capacity on the Google Pixel 7 smartphone. It might not be that much compared to other flagship killer smartphones, but still, the battery optimization makes sure that you can obtain a decent amount of screen time for binge-watching content or mild gaming.

However, you will obtain the wired cable inside the box, while the company also offers wireless charging options. The sound output is not loud and crisp as the stereo speaker of Pixel 7 Pro, and you won’t find any 3.5 mm jack earpiece on this phone. Finally, the starting price of this phone is around $454 (Rs. 37,499 in India) approx.

Conclusion

The Pixel 7 is definitely a downgrade in the in-hand feel, build quality, and design, battery life, when compared to the Pro variant. But at the same time, the phone offers decent performance and a beautiful camera quality experience, which makes this phone more attractive. However, there are no significant updates from the Pixel 6 phones.

If you have a Pixel 6-series phone, we won’t suggest you upgrade to this phone. But if you have an older Google phone, then it is worth replacing, while it could be a whole new experience if you are switching from other Android brand smartphones. In case you are looking for an alternative option, you can check out the OnePlus 10 Pro as it provides well-rounded features.
