Design and Display
The Doogee V Max Pro features a design that is similar to the Doogee V Max Plus launched in August 2024. However, it still looks quite premium, thanks to the shiny design on the body. Speaking of the body, you will be happy to know that the phone is built like an absolute tank and can easily survive all manners of torture. The phone has received MIL-STD-810H certification, which is a military-grade certification.
Therefore, you can rest easy knowing that the phone can easily survive drops. In fact, Doogee claims it can survive a fall to concrete from a height of up to 2 meters. It is a tough phone. The Doogee V Max Pro also features an IP68/69K rating, so it will be well protected against dust and water.
The display is also equally protected, thanks to the use of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Speaking of the display, the Doogee V Max Pro has a 6.58-inch IPS FHD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is decently color-accurate and can get bright enough to be used outdoors comfortably. The phone will be available in Black and Gray colors.
Memory and Internal
The Doogee V Max Pro has the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset, which can reach clock speeds of up to 2×2.6 GHz. It can run the apps that you use every day smoothly without any issues, including Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Snapchat, and more. It can also play games like PUBG mobile, Summoners War, CODm, and even Genshin Impact at decently high graphics, thanks to the Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.
This chipset supports 5G connectivity, so it can deliver gigabit download speeds and low latency during online games. The smartphone’s software runs on Android 14 with a stock user interface to deliver a clean and bloatware-free user experience. For RAM and storage, the Doogee V Max Pro has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage.
Camera
The Doogee V Max Pro also comes with a 108MP triple rear-camera system. The primary rear camera with the 1080MP sensor can capture some fine shots with high dynamic range, a lot of details, and saturated colors. The secondary 20MP night vision camera uses the two included infrared LEDs to capture some great pictures at night with detail levels that will surpass any other phone in the same price range.
However, due to the nature of infrared night vision cameras, the pictures are greyscale and void of color. The third camera consists of an 8MP ultra-wide sensor capable of capturing pictures with a wide FOV. The quality of pictures from this camera is just average at best and far from the quality of the other two cameras.
As for the selfie camera, there’s a 16MP sensor, and it can take some fantastic selfies with higher details and a natural skin tone. When it comes to video recording, the rear cameras can record at a maximum resolution of 4K@30FPS, while the selfie sensor can only record at up to 1440p. Also, there’s no support for OIS or gyro-EIS support to capture stable footage.
Battery and Others
The Doogee V Max Pro has a high-capacity 22000 mAh battery, which can deliver an unbelievable battery life. The phone can last for weeks on a single charge, depending on the usage. If your usage includes calling, texting, social media, browsing, camera, and watching videos, then getting weeks of battery life is completely possible.
However, if you play a lot of games, then the battery will last less. The phone comes with support for only 33W charging speed, which will take multiple hours to fully charge the phone due to its huge battery capacity. Doogee should have included a faster charging speed. Apart from that, the phone also has support for dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The smartphone is currently at $339 (Rs 28,549 in India) approx.

Conclusion
The Doogee V Max Pro has everything a rugged must-have and then some. The body is absolutely solid with no chance of breaking, creaking, or anything else. It is also well-protected against dust and water. The display is also quite decent. It’s not the best but acceptable considering everything else this phone is offering.
The chipset is quite fast and will not slow you down no matter what you put it through. It can also play a lot of games with high graphics without any issues. Even the camera performance is also fantastic but it is still not the best feature of this phone. The best part of this phone is its battery life, which is just mind-blowing.
The only decent alternative to this phone would be the Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra, which does have faster wired charging as well as wireless charging among many other features but comes at a higher cost. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.
