Design and Display
The Doogee Blade GT features a Nothing-like design with multiple LED strips on the rear panel. People may even mistake it for the upcoming Nothing Phone (3), which is absolutely not true. The Doogee Blade GT is quite unique, despite its similarities. It features a rugged plastic body that doesn’t creak or bend. The phone is built like a tank to ensure it survives all manners of torture and harsh environmental conditions.
In fact, the Doogee Blade GT has received MIL-STD-810H certification, which is a military-grade certification given to true rugged phones. Even though it’s a tough rugged phone, it is actually quite slim and lightweight compared to other rugged phones on the market. However, that’s not even the best part of the design. The star of the show is the LED strips on the rear side that react to various OS actions and can also be used as a glow light.
The LED setup is eerily similar to Nothing phones, which is why many users are confusing it as one. However, the exact design and the positioning of the LED strips are different comparatively. The Doogee Blade GT also features an IP68/69K rating, so it will be well protected against dust and water. The smartphone is available in Black and Silver colors. The display is a 6.72-inch IPS FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of color accuracy, this display is quite good and can also get bright enough to be used outdoors comfortably.
Memory and Internal
The Doogee Blade GT is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset that can reach clock speeds of up to 2×2.6 GHz. This chipset has enough performance to smoothly run everyday apps, such as WhatsApp, Messenger, Snapchat, and more. These apps launch faster, thanks to 2.6GHz high clock speeds.
This chipset also has a decently powerful GPU like the Mali-G68 MC4, and it can play games like PUBG mobile, Summoners War, CODm, and even Genshin Impact at higher graphics. This chipset also has support for 5G connectivity, so downloading movies will be a breeze. Also, 5G achieves very low latency, which is crucial during online gaming sessions.
As for the software, the smartphone is running on Android 14 with a stock user interface to provide a clean and better user experience. For RAM and storage, the Doogee Blade GT has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Camera
The Doogee Blade GT also comes with a 48MP dual rear camera system. The main rear camera has a 48MP sensor, which can capture some fine pictures with decent detail levels, high dynamic range, and a natural color tone. The secondary rear camera consists of a 5MP ultra-wide sensor that is capable of capturing pictures with a wide 120˚ FOV.
The quality of pictures from the second camera is just average and nowhere close to the quality of the main camera. The selfie camera consists of a 20MP sensor, which can also take some fantastic selfies. This camera manages to preserve the facial details and natural skin tone in the selfies.
When it comes to video recording, the rear cameras can record at a maximum resolution of 4K@30FPS, while the selfie sensor can only record at up to 1080p@30FPS. Also, there’s support for gyro-EIS support to capture stable footage with the main camera.
Battery and Others
The Doogee Blade GT has a high-capacity 5500 mAh battery, which can deliver a fantastic battery life. On a single charge, this phone can last for 1 – 3 days with a medium usage that includes calling, texting, social media, browsing, camera, and/or watching videos. However, if you play a lot of games, then the battery may not last a full day.
The Doogee Blade GT comes with an 18W wired fast charger, but it’s not as fast as other phones on the market. Therefore, it will take over three hours to fully charge the phone. Apart from that, the phone also has support for dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The smartphone is currently at $340 (Rs 28,999 in India) approx.

Conclusion
The Doogee Blade GT is a really good rugged phone, but it hardly looks like one. It is also quite slim and lightweight. Rugged phones offer a lot of protection, but some people still refrain from buying them because of their thick and heavy body, which is not the case with this phone. Not to mention, it has Nothing phone-like LED design that is quite attractive.
However, this phone delivers a lot more than just protection and design. The display and performance are also quite decent, and you won’t find any complaints there. They may not be world-class but then again this phone is not asking for a world-class price tag either. The camera quality is also good for the price.
The best part is the battery, which is fantastic. The phone can last for days with a lighter usage. The only alternative phone to this would be the Ulefone Armor 25T Pro, which offers similar features with the addition of a night vision camera and wireless charging but at the cost of thickness and weight. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.
