Oppo Find X8 Pro

Compare Sharp Aquos R9 Pro and Oppo Find X8 Pro – The Sharp Aquos R9 Pro and Oppo Find X8 Pro are two high-end 5G smartphones released in October 2024, offering competitive features in their price range. Both phones come with a 6.7-inch display, but their technology differs slightly. The Sharp Aquos R9 Pro uses a PRO IGZO LTPO OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. The Oppo Find X8 Pro, on the other hand, features an LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 4500 nits, making it more suitable for outdoor use in bright conditions.

In terms of performance, the Sharp Aquos R9 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, while the Oppo Find X8 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. Both are flagship-level processors, but Snapdragon chipsets generally offer better optimization for gaming and multitasking. The software differs as well; the Aquos R9 Pro runs Android 14, while the Find X8 Pro is slightly ahead of Android 15 and ColorOS 15, giving it a fresher software experience.

The camera setups on both devices are impressive but cater to different needs. The Sharp Aquos R9 Pro features a 50.3MP primary camera, a 50.3MP telephoto lens with 2.8x zoom, and a 50.3MP ultrawide lens, alongside a powerful 50.3MP selfie camera. The Oppo Find X8 Pro offers three 50MP rear cameras, including 50MP periscope telephoto lenses with 6x, 50MP periscope telephoto with 3x zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide, plus a decent 32MP selfie camera. If telephoto zoom and ultrawide photography are priorities, the Find X8 Pro is better equipped.

The Find X8 Pro packs a 5910mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, while the Aquos R9 Pro has a 5000mAh battery with wired and wireless charging support. Both phones provide ample storage and RAM configurations, but the Oppo Find X8 Pro edges ahead with more options, going up to 1TB and 16GB RAM, whereas the Sharp Aquos R9 Pro maxes out at 512GB and 12GB RAM. Price-wise, there’s not a huge difference, with the Aquos R9 Pro costing $832 (Rs 69,999 in India) approx and the Find X8 Pro priced at $750 (Rs 62,990 in India) approx.
